Hot take: not bad
I’m with you
imo there wasn't a great way to wrap it all up. Probably why Martin isn't finishing the books. I'm not giving it a 10/10 but it was fine. I think there will be a lot of backlash because people didn't get the ending they wanted but I don't think Bran getting the "throne" makes it objectively bad.

Oh, and anyone who bet on “Who sits on the Iron Throne” lost since it was destroyed and Dany never sat her ass on it.

Yeah, like everything else this season, it was rushed to a conclusion and suffered greatly for it. I'm fine with the overall story, just kinda sucked how they got there in the end.

I’m still with you.

I’ve seen a couple angry woman FB posts that Dany died and Greyworm lived.

Maybe it was just me, but when he finally pet ghost, I yelled at the TV for ghost to eat him and for a split second, I thought it was going to happen.

A shows ending is really only as good as the story telling leading up to it and if it fits the feel. This season was about shock and twists without value. It all felt laughable or pointless.

And again we waited an extra year and that's the season and ending we get. That bothers me. All that time and that's how they play it out.

But also #team Sansa

And for anyone that read A Darker Shade of Magic - Maise Williams as Lila Bard? She is too short, but got those vibes. (@eddysnake).

I’m indifferent. Don’t really know what I want for an ending because it is a colossally hard story to conclude.

Didn’t love it, but I didn’t hate it either. Thought they had a solid episode going until Drogon torched the throne, which was just cheesy AF. Dany definitely seemed off her rocker with her prophetical beliefs, so I’ll give them that. The time jump to the council in the dragon pit was bad and that entire scene with deciding on Bran was the low point for me. A lot of bad dialogue. Sansa declaring the North to be free and becoming Queen dodint is bullshit. I was fine with the epilogue and how most character fates turned out, though Grey Worm is a joke. Really wish Jon’s true parentage would have been more than a catalyst for Dany’s downfall.

Again though, this episode is something that should have taken place over multiple episodes. These last two seasons should have been 20+ episodes instead of 13 and it really sucks that they dicked the fans out of that. Wonder how it will affect the prequel series, though at this point I’d immediately watch a season of Arya pretending to be Christopher Columbus.

Troy is vindicated with the nights watch
Incredible comeback by TL
The key was, just think about a dumbass way to end the show, and then predict it to happen.

I took it as Jon getting sent to the Night’s Watch so Grey Worm would finally **** off and get off everyone’s ass. Jon quite obviously peaced out with the Freefolk and went North of the Wall, which seems like a fitting end for him.

At least they addressed the “why is there still a night watch?” question.
