I'm reading Fire and Blood right now. Hopefully the TV show is better than the book. IDK why Martin thought writing a fictional history book would be interesting. It's a very watered down version of A Song of Ice and Fire series.

If that was canonical material from the original story teller, and was part of a story that was already completed, then I’d be very excited.

But it’s not part of a complete story. It’s just more meaningless fluff. Hard pass.

I just checked out r/freefolk and even those curmudgeons are cautiously optimistic for House of the Dragon.

Miguel Saponchik (whatever) is still involved. He's the guy that said Arya randomly stabbing the NK was surprising, so it didn't matter that it made no sense at all. Subverting expectations. So we'll see.

Ramin is still involved... That guy can do no wrong in my book.
