I enjoy a good battle sequence, but if it's relentless deaths of characters we don't know or don't care about, it's going to get boring. Hopefully they handle it well.

I am a bit apprehensive as well... part of it is the ridiculously long wait... I'm not as excited as I might have been if it dropped in the normal timeframe.

Also, despite the nature of the story early on, at the end of the day, it's a fantasy where good is most likely going to reign supreme - though I suspect there will be some sort of "bittersweet" nature to the ending.

So just by its very nature it's going to be impossible to live up to its earlier standards... so about the best we can hope for is that what we do get is well done.

One of the things the director mentioned was avoiding “battle scene fatigue,” and that’s why he studied the Helm’s Deep scene from LOTR.

The battle-centric episodes in the past have all been awesome. That is one thing I'm not worried about.

The wildling vs nights watch battle was a poor showing. The rest have been aces.

I think it’ll be fine.

wonder if the incest thing will be addressed explicitly or if it’ll be more like, “let’s put a pin in it until this whole zombie thing is over and one of us certainly dies, k?”

In terms of her endgame, the parallels with the Mad King + Jaime as both Kingslayer/fulfiller of the Valonqar prophecy seems to be the obvious course
Mmm. Somehow this completely slipped my mind. Yes, there is no question, at least to me, that Jaime kills his sister.
didnt ed sheerhan sing about this?

That aneurysm stuff is absolutely terrifying. My AP teacher in high school lost his wife in her early 30s when she suffered a similar incident and passed away in her sleep, leaving he and their infant son behind. Awful.

I’m not exactly sure why this is now a public story. Or should I say, how this benefits her, aside from launching her into phase 2 of her career.

Yeeeeeeeah, that's gonna be a maybe for me, dog.
I’ve never told this story publicly, but now it’s time.
But why?

This is a completely harmless and very harrowing tale. But this is some grade A re-branding for an actress largely only known for one role. It was either do this or do what Michael Richards did.

I think your skepticism meter is broken. She's managed to fit in 7 feature films including two major releases (Terminator & Star Wars) while having one of the most prominent roles on one of the most popular TV shows of the decade, a show which is entering is final season and will, undoubtedly, have incessant buzz throughout its finale. She doesn't need more PR.

i guess this is...something. nothing groundbreaking. just confirms that there's some sort of retreat from Winterfell after a bloody battle. i think

So I'm assuming Wintefell...falls. I wonder where they will set up the final Helm's Deepish stand/battle? Assuming they retreat south, perhaps they meet up with Howland Reed?

So they lose winterfell, retreat to king's landing, they argue and bicker with Cersei, a few people have interesting character arcs, jon snow kills the night king somehow, then all the white walkers evaporate, end scene.

I don’t think they can just allow everyone in between to die. I think the riverlands. Where rhaegar fell

If there is more than one Hodor-like heroic sacrifice death scene, I'm going to declare the season a failure.
