Which would prove Pavel's point.
He's trained that arm with a sword since he was a young boy. To him, a 15 - 20 lb hand wouldn't be like it is to you...

I'm fairly certain that a 15-20 lb hand would suck for anyone.

When was the last time the Stark sisters were together?

Also, their reunion was well done, in terms of silently acknowledging the **** that has gone down in each other's lives.

(The guy who plays John Snow is a tremendously terrible actor, so I don't see him leading to anything interesting re:his sisters.)

Meh. I'm not saying she's irredeemable, but she's buying into her own hype. And for someone who has never been truly battle tested (taking out a bunch of spoiled slave owners doesn't count) she's way, way too confident in her abilities/the abilities of her dragons/army. It's obvious she thinks she'll waltz in, conquer all, and rule the kingdom. I'm not so secretly hoping she goes all "Mad King" before it's all said and done.

I just watched that video...we are lucky that we live in a day and age where that kind of stuff is possible. The amount of work that goes into that is just remarkable.

It's probably been since the middle of season 1.

Everyone keeps saying Jamie's hand is 100% gold... if that's true I can't believe he can even lift his arm for more than a few seconds. That must kill his shoulders and back.
I could be wrong but a very crude estimate of hand volume x weight of gold shows the gold hand would weigh around 15-20 pounds, at most.
At the very least there is one 400 Troy Oz. Gold bar in that thing which is approx 27 lbs. I'd wager it's more like 1.5 of those at the least. So he's carrying approx 40lbs on that arm almost all the time. That's insane.

An average/large hand is approx 8x4x1 inches. As a solid block, that's a volume of 32 cubic inches. Gold weighs 11.1 oz per cubic inch. That comes out to 22 lbs. as a solid block.

Episode 8 is when Sansa was detained by the Kingsguard and Syrio died while delaying long enough for Arya to escape. Either earlier in that episode or in episode 7 is their last interaction with each other.

Still incredible that he lugs that around all the time whether 20 or 40 lbs

Incredible, but necessary.

He'll need that gold hand as Azor Ahai...
“According to the Valyrian dictionary, Valyrian words for lord and light are aeksio and onos. However, Valyrian words for gold and hand are aeksion and ondos. Just as we might suspect, The Lord of Light is a farce. Jaime Lannister - Gold Hand - is the hero of legend and prophecy.”

Once again, Lannisters have to swoop in and take the glory from the Starks. :)

So the guy that was fingerblasting his sister in the first book will be the hero? Huh.

(Not sure what he else he did after that, I couldn't get past the first book.)

will he have to lose the hand to get out of the water? I'd argue the armor weighs him down more.

All of the above sink him. If anything but a dragon fishes him out it's a kid of bullshit. No person is lifting a fully armored knight out of the water.

How sure are we that Bronn tackled Jamie off the horse. Could it have been Jorah?
