My favorite holiday commercial is the Eat n' Park star and tree. It never gets old for me.

That goes for our household too.

Once I found out the PA Lottery holiday ad was a shot for shot remake it lost it's charm. Things you can't unsee, I guess.

Same. I don't get to see it as often living outside of Eat n' Park's demographic, but it will make an occasional appearance when the Roots Sports feed is shown on the NHL Network for a Pens game.

It's probably more because I'm a Norm McDonald fan, but am I the only ones who likes the new KFC commercials?

I wouldn't say I love them, but do enjoy them. I certainly don't see what has everyone so honked up over them; they're harmless and silly.

Exactly. I like that he's "the real Colonel Sanders", like he's letting you in on the joke and that it's obvious and even harmless.

I definitely prefer the Norm McDonald Col. Sanders to Daryl Hammond's. Daryl took it a bit too seriously. Norm lets everyone in on the joke.

Agreed about MacDonald v Hammond. I wonder if that's the feedback the ad agency got; they cut Hammond loose after a fairly short period of time, and the spots changed tenor completely with MacDonald.

But MacDonald is great because he's so polarizing. Look at his appearance on the Bob Saget roast on Comedy Central: He utterly trolled them, for the whole night, and he was sort of poking fun at the whole idea of a roast in general. He was deliberately awful and shticky....... and it was completely brilliant. The next guy up after him said Norm's set was like watching Henry Fonda pick blueberries, and without missing a beat, Norm said, "Why, I don't think there's a person in here who wouldn't LOVE to watch Henry Fonda pick blueberries." It was one of the best jokes on a night full of awesome jokes.

I love Hammond...he's a great impressions guy.

that's why I love the whole Hammond/MacDonald thing. Hammond acted seriously like he was the Colonel and did a good job at it. Then, there was the outrage that someone was impersonating the Colonel, so they bring MacDonald in who is the least convincing Colonel ever but his humor lies in the fact that he's obviously not the Colonel.

I love Patrick Stewart and I'm not sure I've seen him act more than three movies in my life.

Come to think of it, I'm hard prssed to think of three movies not related to those.

Moby Dick is decent. Thats all I got.

Whoops.

I'm actually thinking of Ben Kingsley in episode 72 of The Sopranos. Crap.

I may have never seen Patrick Stewart act. Jesus.

American Dad is the only credit of his that I've actually watched on purpose. And even that's a stretch.

Well, I do other stuff, like I'm riding my bike in the park, and this policewoman says, "Oi! You can't ride your bike on the grass." And I go, "Oh no?", and her uniform falls off, and she goes "Aaaah!", and she's trying to cover up, but I've seen everything anyway, and I get on my bike and ride off. On the grass.
