Roy Moore says he was duped by Sacha Baron Cohen for his new CBS/Showtime series & threatens legal action "If Showtime airs a defamatory attack on my character..." https://t.co/ovQjdXGyjw
I don't care one way or the other for him duping these people, but dressing up like a disabled veteran makes me want to curb stomp him. I have a buddy that is now disabled from an IED blowing up the hummer he was in. 2 died, but he and his friend survived. It isn't something to joke about.
I'm going to wait and see how it plays out. A lot of time, he's good at calling attention to an issue through his character. I'm sorry to hear about your buddy.
I just never really found Cohen all that funny. Ali G was alright but Borat was ****, and was made worse by everyone else finding it hilarious and repeating the stupid lines.

The best thing about Sacha Baron Cohen is his wife.

I don't like SBC either but FFS come on man.

I submit Isla Fisher reached peak hotness in Wedding Crashers. My God, unlike Vince Vaughn's character I would have sacrificed whatever to be with her in that movie.

Just finished season 4 of Parks and Rec, and am absolutely loving it. The show just gets better and better with every episode.

The best part is, unlike some other fun comedy shows, it stops before it gets old and worn out. Unfortunately that means less episodes to watch, though.

I was actually thinking about that earlier. I want the show to go on forever, but to also stop before it turns into what The Office turned into later on. I've got three seasons left, and I think I'm going to be incredibly bummed when it comes to an end.

watched the first episode of Sharp Objects on HBO. Maybe plan to watch something light hearted after watching this. It's really well done, but just so dark. I very much enjoy the southern gothic atmosphere.

Ahoy!

Hope that the arrival of the Starcourt Mall doesn't coincide with the release date of Season 3.

Shark Week starts this weekend. The only reason I even mention it is because the episodes with Andy Casagrande are generally terrific, like filming [probable] white shark siblings in Australia for the first time ever. I probably added 30% of the total shows to my TiVo, omitting basically anything with celebrities outside of Shaq (because Shaq is hilarious).

No, but there's an episode with Ronda Rousey, so maybe she's going to fight one?

Whether you liked Season 1 of “The Orville” or not, get ready for a more confident version in Season 2.

“I think what you’re going to see in Season 2 is a show that’s even more comfortable in its footing in terms of existing in that goldilocks zone,” Seth MacFarlane said during the series’ Comic-Con panel in San Diego. “Every episode feels like a movie, and I think you’re going to dig it.”

The “goldilocks zone” MacFarlane referred to is the consistent tonal shifts seen — and criticized — in Season 1.

I watched that last night. The narrator using a billion fighting puns drove me away.
