Amazing Race is back January 5th. Evidently, they finished filming the COVID-interrupted season....two years later. Nuts.

Who knew that Emilio Estevez ES-TAVA-YEZ was an anti-vaxer.
So apparently, he's not anti, though it's not clear if he ever got the vax even after having long-haul covid: https://deadline.com/2021/11/emilio-est ... 234869916/
Creative differences, Disney really **** up the first season by putting Lauren Graham in the lead over Emilio. She is very bad and annoying in this show and he was very good. I'm guessing they want to continue making her the new coach Bombay which will make the 2nd season unwatchable imo

I like Graham, but the final Act of the season her character was very bi-polar. Without Bombay's storyline I'm not sure I could have muddled through.

Is anyone watching American Rust? I'm 4 episodes in and... it's just okay. I went in expecting a murder mystery and it's definitely not, so maybe that affected my enjoyment. Either way, the tone is inconsistent and some of the shot choices are distractingly bad. Overall it feels cheap, which surprised me considering the talent involved. I suppose it's worth a watch if you're bored.

Yeah, that's not good.

BTW there's a new season of Narcos Mexico out today. Had no idea it was still in production.

Hopefully it picks up in the back half. I'm 5 episodes in now and everyone's just sort of there. I don't feel any sense of urgency from any of the characters. Maybe that's the point.

I finished it the other night. Thought it was good. Kind of disappointed they've already said they aren't doing a season 4 but at the same time I can kinda see why.

Worst SNL of the season last night. The highlight was T.Swift’s 10 minute long All Too Well performance.

Finally finished Ted Lasso 2.0.

Absolutely love this show.

But, as others have said… **** Nate.

Watching season 3 of Succession. All of the characters have become so unlikeable

Kardashian episode still for me. But yeah, the writing this week really wasn't that great. When Update is the best portion of the show, you know it's not going well. I will say the stand-up comedy bot was freakishly well-executed -- that is some real technical talent right there. Definitely was an audition bit.

Good call that was incredibly good. I also thought Sarah Sherman had her first solid SNL moment with her Update segment.

What do you think of the Please Don't Destroy sketches? It feels like they so badly want to be Lonely Island but don't have the talent or charisma to pull it off so they just come across as dorks and "lol isn't it funny that we're dorks and we don't think we're dorks?"

Not convinced the whole sarah squirm thing isn't some online left op to get one of their own recognition. Unless being annoying is funny, which seems to be her bit. That dude who does impressions is funny though, and his Trump would make Alec Baldwin feel shame if he weren't dealing with significantly worse mental anguish.

Did anyone in here watch Titans on HBO Max? I just watched the first few episodes and it seems pretty good. I have no idea who anyone is minus Robin, but kinda dig the darker tone.

I finished American Rust. After 6 episodes that absolutely dragged the final 3 did pick up the pace and get moderately interesting. Then it ended with every single story in a cliffhanger. With the ratings and critical reviews being abysmal, I can't imagine there will be a second season, so I'd highly recommend not wasting your time. You're welcome.

The first one (the hard seltzer/cider I think?) was pretty good. The phone call one was eh--started promising then went downhill. This recent song was the worst one yet. So they're certainly not trending in the right direction.

Looking forward to more Bosch. Should be interesting how the flashback Gulf war scenes work in the show.

This week's Curb was a classic.
