That's some LBL level of edge right there, TV show.

Guess I'm in the minority. Annie Murphy is great and I'm looking forward to seeing her in a different role. And anything that takes the piss out of Kevin Can Wait is okay in my book. The only downside is due to the pandemic, this is now coming out after WandaVision so it may not seem as original as it should.

Another angle of the language stuff I didn't realize, is that when Chinese characters are talking to each other, they speak in unaccented English. When a Chinese character who can speak English speaks with a gringo/native English speaker, they speak with an accent. Except for the main Chinese character, who grew up speaking English (and his sister as well).

Another tidbit is the guy from Georgia is about the only male lead (so far) that isn't a racist and actually is a decent human being.
Yeah, it took me a second as well to realize what they were doing with the accents. I like it.

I loved King of Queens (one of my all-time favorite sitcoms)...but damn Kevin Can Wait was bad.

Mrs Tif is absurdly entertained by the Swedish Chef. We actually use lyrics from his theme song - "de gitt der gue" - to signify it's time to set the table for dinner.

I just quickly scrolled through the seasons and the amount of stars they had on is unreal. I picked out a few: Candice Bergen, Vincent Price, George Burns, Rich Little, Madleine Kahn, Steve Martin, Bernadette Peters, Dom Deluise, Milton Berle, John Cleese, Elton John, Bob Hope, Julie Andrews, Loretta Lynn, Alice Cooper, Raquel Welch, Gilda Radner, Sly Stallone, Roy Rogers, John Denver, Liza Minnelli, Christopher Reeve, Lynda Carter, Mark Hamill, Diana Ross, Carol Burnette, Paul Simon, Johnny Cash, Debbie Harry, Buddy Rich.

I've seen most of these at least once but I'm looking forward to going through them all again.

I just learned maybe a year or so ago that The Muppet Show was actually produced in England. It aired on ITV for like 6 months before any US carriers wanted to run it.

I agree with all of this, but that trailer just didn't look appealing to me at all.

Dark is really something. Halfway thru season 3. At the end of season 1 I hated the direction, then season 2 won me over. At the end of season 2 I really hated the direction and still kinda hate it.

...but the writing, the acting, the story, the cinematography, the soundtrack...tour de force. I just wanted to not keep expanding the story and characters until you forget what you even care about. I heard they stick the landing, so I have faith.

I'm down to the final six episodes of The Shield. Gonna try and binge them this weekend, but if not, will definitely be finishing it early next week.

I'm still **** mad at Shane. I do think the show lost a bit of humanity when Lem was killed off, though Vic does seem to be trying to change that path. Still love this show, and barring an absolute failure of a finale, it's top-5 for me all-time.

The finale is at or near the top all time for me, so I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

"The Crawley's are inconvenienced by WWI" has been an enjoyable storyline for S2 of Downton Abbey. It wasn't until the end of S1 that I realized there are months between episodes. Interesting approach that you certainly wouldn't see in American television. Another un-American aspect is that I'm constantly amused at how comparatively unattractive the cast is. Cora and Lady Mary are attractive but plain and I'm a fan of Lady Sybil in the show but her Google image search is nothing to behold. Housemaid Ethel has been a welcome addition but her liveries hide too much.

Regardless, the American version of this show isn't going into production without Channing Tatum, Alexandra Daddario, and Nicole Kidman in prominent roles.

My wife is now watching Victoria, which just looks like a lame version of Downton Abbey.

Down to the final two episodes of The Shield, which I intend to watch tomorrow morning. I’m either going to be incredibly pissed or very happy about the ending.

Man, the finale had it all. I can't believe what Shane did, and I guess it's fitting how Vic ended up, which is basically living hell for him. Still missed Lem, though.
