Amy Poehler is the opposite of likable. I always thought that was the joke.
How dare you.

Not shocking, to be honest. I'd watched and enjoyed season 1, but Netflix didn't even promote season two to me on their own platform. I found it when someone mentioned it here, or by complete accident. Not good.

Mackie wasn’t as bad as I thought he’d be, but season 2 was nowhere near the same quality as season 1. Joel Kinnamon was the best part about the entire series.

‘Resident Evil’ Live-Action Series Ordered at Netflix
A live-action “Resident Evil” series has been picked up at Netflix.

The streamer has given an eight episode order to the one-hour series, which is based on the Capcom video game franchise of the same name. Constantin Films, which produced the six-film franchise based on the games, will serve as the studio behind the series. News that a “Resident Evil” series was in development at Netflix was first reported early last year.

Andrew Dabb will serve as writer, executive producer and showrunner. Dabb most recently served as showrunner on multiple seasons of the hit CW series “Supernatural,” which is set to conclude this fall after 15 seasons.

The story of the series will unfold across two timelines: In the first timeline, fourteen-year-old sisters Jade and Billie Wesker are moved to New Raccoon City. A manufactured, corporate town, forced on them right as adolescence is in full swing. But the more time they spend there, the more they come to realize that the town is more than it seems and their father may be concealing dark secrets. Secrets that could destroy the world.

In the second timeline, well over a decade into the future, there are less than fifteen million people left on Earth. And more than six billion monsters — people and animals infected with the T-virus. Jade, now thirty, struggles to survive in this New World, while the secrets from her past – about her sister, her father and herself – continue to haunt her.

Image

The premium network is working on an adaptation of Sphere, Michael Crichton's 1987 novel about a group of scientists in an underwater facility who encounter a mysterious alien spacecraft.

The series is from showrunnner Denise Thé, who recently worked as a writer and executive producer of season 3 of Westworld.

Official series description: "Sphere plunges us one thousand feet into the ocean, where a group of scientists confronts the surreal, beautiful, and deadly mysteries of the universe, only to find the people closest to us may prove to be the most alien."

The Fall lineup for network TV is pure trash - especially CBS. NBC is the only network that's actually going to be airing decent shows.

I wonder how many shows were able to film anything last spring, into the summer? Probably shows based in Vancouver were able to film, maybe Toronto too.

I was saying this to my wife last night. It’s going to be a garbage fall for tv viewing. I finished Netflix and most of Disney +. Working through On Demand stuff now.

Space ghost coast to coast is on HBO max and it's terrific. Kids had no idea what was going on, but by the 3rd episode, they got the hang of it
I don't think I've laughed more at any show. Having no idea what's going on was what made me laugh the hardest. It helps being high because

I know people were annoyed by the reason Jenny Slate gave it up, but I think they found a perfect replacement, in terms of life experience, to play the character.

Yeah, I am really looking forward to Law & Order: Organized Crime. Christopher Meloni returns as Stabler but that has been pushed back to sometime next year.

Series description from IMDB: "Elliot Stabler returns to the NYPD to battle organized crime after a devastating personal loss. However, the city and police department have changed dramatically in the decade he's been away, and he must adapt to a criminal justice system in the midst of its own moment of reckoning. Throughout the series, we will follow Stabler's journey to find absolution and rebuild his life, while leading a new elite task force that is taking apart the city's most powerful criminal syndicates one by one."

Though I wonder how these police shows will address everything or change going forward.

Same here. I will watch anything with Christopher Meloni in it. He killed it in SVU while he was on.

Close to it, I think he left in 2011. I pretty much stopped watching SVU after that. Hopefully there is some crossover between SVU and Organized Crime so we have a reunion.

I stopped watching two seasons ago because it became a chore. Ice T is still his awesome self, but had a smaller role. The rest were annoying at best most of the time.

I’m three episodes into Dark season 3, and still loving it. There are so many twists and turns that I don’t think it’s possible to actually predict how this show ends.

Uh oh, at least it looks like they have good help on the project. I've always wanted to read that series. I quite enjoyed what the Chinese did with his wandering earth movie on netflix.
