good to hear Roseanne return was good, it's pretty bad reading about people who think the show is garbage now because she likes Trump. Have they never watched any of the prior seasons. It was always about politics. People are dumb.

I lean about as far to the left as you can without falling over but I love the Roseanne series. It stacks up against any sitcom as one of the best of all time. You absolutely have to separate the artist from the art, though I recognize that can be difficult at times. For example, I can watch Woody Allen films and forget about the fact that he married his daughter, but I just can't bring myself to watch a Roman Polanski movie. Turns out drugging and raping a 13 year old is where I draw the line.

I've never seen Polanski's Repulsion. I'll still watch it some day. I like Frantic, Chinatown, Fearless Vampire Killers, Rosemary baby, maybe some others? I understand why someone won't watch his movies, but I liked those movies before I really knew who he was or what he did. I don't think that makes them unwatchable for me now.

That's crap. Art doesn't exist in absolutes, it needs context and the bulk of that context is the artist.

First episode of Roseanne was okay. Some parts felt very forced and I wasn’t too into the political stuff. Episode 2 was great though. Felt like classic Roseanne. More of that and I’ll be happy.
