Which crashes and burns harder... Birds of Prey, or Batwoman with Ruby "I am barely good enough to play a supporting role much less a lead" Rose?I consider myself fairly in tune with pop culture and super hero films, and it took me way too long to figure out what "BOP" was. I can't imagine how confused the general public must be.
DVR'd Batwoman from the other day. One and done on that show. I thought that this was supposed to be a strong female led to show alternate lifestyle and women in good strong light. Her motivation to be Batwoman is that she is not the little girl that daddy wanted, and that he ex-lover picked the military over her.
Also, the track record of DC Universe villains completely sucking... Alice... seriously? The first show and you open with... the angry sister?
Re-tailoring Batman's perfectly fitting suit into Batwoman's perfectly fitting suit in, what, 15 minutes? (non material suit remember) Plus, apparently ZERO learning crve on Batman's marvelous little toys as she was able to use everything without and practice.
Bad concept, poorly written.

We named the DOG "Indiana"...
Looks better than Discovery, but still not enough to justify getting CBS All Access

60% of the proceeds will go to his wife and daughter while the rest will go to the Culinary Institute of America for the Anthony Bourdain Legacy Scholarship. It's sad, sure, but it's going to a good cause.
Also, that knife is **** amazing.

Isn't Ozark supposed to start this weekend? I tried to google the exact release date and the first 5 links I checked not one had a date.

Got a warning when opening Netflix last night that my TV will no longer support the app starting Dec. 1.
Welp, it's been fun Netflix. Hope you enjoy all the lost subscribers.

Consol was renamed PPG, 'Om. Seriously though, I have a Wii and a mini-Super Nintendo thingy. Not much of a gamer anymore, as you can tell. I do have a Sony BluRay player that I've used before, but that's older than my TV.
It's a Samsung 46" somethingorother. Bought it back during the 3D craze. I didn't want a 3D TV, but it was a floor model and was a good price.

I'd recommend getting a Chromecast, Fire stick, or Apple TV and use Netflix that way.

I might DG. We're not big TV watchers, maybe a half hour to an hour each night.

I finally got around to watching Das Boot, the Hulu series. I had forgotten about it, and for some reason the show got very little ad push. I follow all kinds of WWII history stuff on various social media channels, but never saw an ad for the show. I guess they figure a middle-aged man in rural-ass SC doesn't want to read subtitles for eight hours.
Anyway, it was an excellent show. It takes place after the film, as the tide is turning against the U-boat forces. The only thing it shares with the film is the main theme, which has been slightly modernized.
There were complaints about how the show was split between the u-boat and resistance, but each storyline compliments the other. Both are well done.
That being said, I wish more time was spent on the u-boat as the set was awesome, capturing the claustrophobia of the film and how harrowing life was for submariners in WWII. The opening scene is really something else.
Of the nearly 40,000 German U-boat crew, fewer than 10,000 survived the war. By the end of the war, it was basically a death sentence to go on patrol.
