Finally watched the final two episodes of Mad Men.

I am very happy with the way it all ended up.
I 100% believe Don came back and made the Coke ad for McCann.

Good to hear. That love show. It’s surprising how good of a show it’s become after the first season was a pretty stereotypical police procedural.

I had two people call off to work today, so I'm sitting in a nearly empty library watching Bosch. Should be able to get through half this new season. It's good so far.

I suppose it could be intentional, but that looks like a low budget B horror movie.

that's what I was thinking and for Swamp Thing, that could work out just fine. I still think a Swamp Thing psychedelic horror flick from Alex Garland based on Moores 80s run would be incredible.

Hilarious, silly, poignant, dramatic, great writing, great performances. Pretty much perfect.

I've heard nothing but great things about this show. Damn it. I need more time.

Just saw that Netflix jacked up their prices once again. Their original programming isn't of a high enough quality for them to charge more than double what Disney+ is going to cost. On top of that NBCUniversal is launching it's own streaming service and is looking to yank The Office from Netflix once the existing contract expires in 2021. Stranger Things will be over by that point and The Office is probably 70% of my Netflix viewing experience. Netflix is quickly heading to "go **** yourself" territory.

I'm amazed that these companies don't seem to realize that creating 10 or 20 different streaming options is only going to drive people to piracy.

I'm down to 1 dvd rental with Netflix to try and offset the raising of their streaming prices. Doesn't help they charge extra for 4k streaming either

I paced myself and finally finished The Punisher last night. So, so good. It's hard to imagine that we may never see Charlie Cox as Matt Murdoch/Daredevil, or Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher ever again. Both of them absolutely crushed their roles.

Yeeaaah Netflix will be appointment subscribing for me, meaning I'll only subscribe when a new show/season is released, binge it, then cancel my subscription. Same with the other streaming services. Eventually they'll realize this is happening and force you to sign long-term contracts. THEN I'll go back to streaming.

Yep. The wife and I have been "crunching the numbers" and we're looking at it and to do Netflix, Amazon Prime, and all the other coming services would be more expensive than cable/sat or just buying the Blu-Ray when it comes out.

Amazon Prime has utility outside streaming so it's not going anywhere.

But as a cord cutter I wonder if this mass-streaming at an ala-carte level is going to flame out quickly.

I currently have Prime, Netflix, Shudder, and Hulu. I almost never watch the latter. I binge the occasional show on Netflix. I don't watch much on Prime but as Freddy mentioned, it serves other purposes. As a horror fan, Shudder is a cheap novelty but I already own or have seen a large percentage of their titles. I most certainly will not be subscribing to any new services and I'll probably cancel Netflix after Stranger Things ends and just put the money toward more blu rays, which I collect anyway.

Netflix just axed Santa Clarita Diet, @Dickie Dunn.
