Thank God for East New York. We needed another police procedural. And another show set in New York City.

The trend of having more serious shows as opposed to goofy bullshit continues for Shark Week, thankfully.

I can't remember the last time I watched Discovery Channel. It was probably Deadliest Catch but that was many seasons ago.

Deadliest Catch is probably one of the few DSC shows I still watch, though I'm quite behind on it.

I used to love it but it became really over produced in its later seasons, including way too many "scripted reality" scenes. My old roommate from college worked as a camera op on a few seasons so I did hop back in to watch her seasons. So the last time I watched it was 2016. She was on the Brenna A. She's on First 48 now, which coincidentally is another one of my favorite reality shows.Deadliest Catch is probably one of the few DSC shows I still watch, though I'm quite behind on it.

Oh, I love me some First 48 - especially the follow up shows.

Yeah it's great. Last I talked with her, she was paired with Chase Calhoun, who I tend to dislike.

I know what you mean about Deadliest Catch, too. Still enjoy the show, though. Keith is still a NTP66.

I enjoy shark week still. Agree that it's nice it's getting more into serious stuff and less mega shark.

I will say that "Air Jaws: Top Guns" scares me a bit. That's one of my favorite series' in Shark Week, so I don't want to see any stupid **** in it.

Just finished watching We Own This City. It was great.
Also watch The Bear on Hulu which was really good. I’m hoping for a second season.

Yes, to both. Well, not a second season of both. Just The Bear.

I’ve been impressed with the quality of Apple TV+’s programming, so this should be good. Really need a Masters of the Air trailer though.

Shark Week is awful and has been awful for like 15 years now. Avoid.

You're one comment away from me flying out there just to smack you upside your head.

Shark Week is the Fox News of marine sciences. If it were on the Cartoon Network, I'd shut up about it. But when you're Discovery and the content of your programming elicits a negative response from scientific organizations dedicated to elasmobranch research, and past scientific participants publicly disavow their connections to the shows, yeah they can go s**t someone else's bed.

I watched one episode of the Bear and it was exhausting.

I get that, lol. But man, it struck a lot of (good) chords with me. Really well done, but very glad the episodes are 30-40 minutes and not an hour.

Oh I dug it but when that "Play next episode" button came up, I couldn't do it. That's a one episode every day or two kind of show.

We finished Peaky Blinders final season. Thought it was pretty good. Needed more Alfie, and more Arthur just not being an addict as a background character, but I thought it wrapped stuff up as well as it could have if there is going to be a movie at some point.

Is that the dude from Shameless? I didn't know he was allowed to be in anything else.
