I think we can all agree that Iron Fist is the worst character of them all by a country mile.

I thought Jessica Jones was passable. Luke Cage worked better as a character in her show. S1 of Luke Cage was fine until about episode 6 and then it just fell off a cliff. All of the Netflix Marvel shows suffer from each season being about 3 episodes too long.

I disagree with regards to Daredevil and Punisher, personally.

I don't look forward to that slog. Only has a 6.4/10 rating on IMdB which is staggering next to Daredevil's 8.7.

6.4 is about 4.4 higher than it should be.

I'd say they suffer less from the issue, but could still benefit from trimming some fat.

No worries, Kingpin's definitely getting getting his ass killed by Murdock this season.

Sunny has been great all season. Yes, even the first episode.

I wasn't crazy about the rehash episode on the plane, but even that had it's moments.

Agreed. The first episode was a little weak, too, IMO.

I won't even entertain Iron Fist because I've heard it's horrendous. Punisher was good, but I don't remember how long it was - I do remember it being tedious at times.

I think they're CW-esque style super hero shows. I never cared much for b-c level characters anyways, so maybe that's why I am not nearly as interested.

Shane West has been cast as Bane in the final season of Gotham, and the series finale will be based 10 years into the future.

Nice. I'm so interested in this final season that I'm going to go back and watch from the beginning. Fish Mooney forced me to call it quits in Season 1. Just read an interview with the showrunner who said the only two villains he tried to get in and was denied were The Ventriloquist, written in multiple times and just couldn't make it work, and The Condiment King, for which he was repeatedly rejected. Give me a live action Condiment King damn it.

Man, I was close to doing that. Glad I stuck it out, though, because it just got better and better. I'm going to miss this show when it's gone.

Anyone watching/watched “Maniac” on Netflix?
I am through 7 eps I believe. I still have no idea whether its actually good or not and have only a vague understanding of what is really going on. The cast is good and the acting is top notch and it has the cassette futurism thing going on, so I am going to finish it out.
I think I'm through 4 episodes. I think I like it - but I'm not sure yet. Has a bit of a Black Mirror vibe to it, which I like. And I like where they went with the 80s throwback and the interweaving/crossover of storyline items. Will have to see the direction it goes, but for now I'm in your boat - plan on finishing.
Started watching this tonight. Seems interesting.

Evidently, there is a Das Boot sequel coming this fall:

https://deadline.com/2017/09/das-boot-t ... 202176377/

I found it by researching one of the characters in Better Call Saul.

A couple of recognizable names: Lizzy Caplan, Vincent Kartheiser from Mad Men, James D'Arcy, and the Jaqen H'ghar from GoT.

It's a miniseries, like the original film.
