The current rumor is that Hulu is looking into it. Which means I'll be pirating B99 if they pick it up.
Hulu passed.

NBC picked up Brooklyn 99. What a roller coaster.

Ah, Universal produces the show...that’s why Fox canceled it as it wasn’t produced in house. Makes sense for it to head back to NBC/Universal.

Outstanding! That it was picked up so quickly shows how stupid Fox is.

Great News was also cancelled which I really liked. Honestly, I don't really watch too many shows on networks anymore because very few survive after a year or two.

I haven't heard of the shows in the last three posts. I'm not saying I'm the barometer by any means, but I consider myself pretty damn pop culture savvy and you could be making up those shows for all I know.

I have attempted to watch B99 and can't get into it. Mostly because Andy Samberg annoys me to no end.

I guess I'm in the super-minority but I enjoyed Designated Survivor. It had some corny dialog at times, but overall a decent show. From what I read, the contracts stated that production was to move from Toronto to LA in season 3 and that was too much money for ABC to put up with for a show with just okay ratings.

I enjoyed the first season, but the dialog and situations after that got more and more ridiculous and we were out.

My wife and I danced around committing to this show for a while...I think we watched four or five episodes.

There are some shows that from the moment they first come on, I just have this feeling that they are not lasting longer than two seasons. I got that vibe from DS.

For the record, I've never watched Designated Survivor. I have trouble committing to network dramas because of the 22-23 episode season length, because in all cases cutting 8-10 episodes makes the writers focus the narrative and the cancellation threat. The only network drama I watch currently is Seal Team, which hasn't had a throwaway episode yet.

While that would obviously be a major roadblock to enjoying the show, he's not the best character imo. Andre Braugher starts to steal the show in Season 2, and hasn't really let up.

Andre Braugher's Frank Pembleton is the greatest acting performance in the history of television.

Pretty much, and that show really isn't very good. I'm glad that NBC picked up B99 so quickly, and wish they had done the same for Last Man on Earth so that we can actually have an ending that isn't a cliffhanger. I can't believe it took this long to renew Gotham. The show has been terrific, and has only gotten better.

Other shows cancelled:

Kevin Can Wait (surprised it lasted past S01)
Superior Donuts (funny show, IMO)
Scorpion
The Crossing
The Mayor

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was also renewed, but for a 13-episode season instead of the normal 22. Not a fan of the shortened season.

Lost in Space (Netflix) was also renewed for season 2.

How did SHIELD handle the events in Infinity War? Specifically the snapping of Thanos' fingers part.

I stopped watching SHIELD a couple of seasons ago, but I might jump back on for 13 episodes, for my reasons stated above - no throwaway episodes.
