Colossal TV Show thread

Just recently finished The Office(best TV show ever)and Friends from College on Netflix. Any other suggestions? Weeds looks good and it looks like it's only 30 minute episodes. I get distracted watching one hours shows.
Weeds is very good for three seasons, okay for the next two, and then you should just set yourself on fire instead of watching the final three.
Completely agree. There are a few good things about the final three seasons, but you can just google the screen grabs...

The series finale of Ash vs. Evil Dead was fantastic. Real sad to see it end, but we got three seasons of all new Ash.

Hail to the King, baby.

I haven't seen this season, but did they get to wrap the series up?

I don’t want to spoil anything for you. Seriously, you’ve gotta watch the season.

Source of the post Just recently finished The Office(best TV show ever)
I was thinking about this yesterday - Office or Scrubs as the better TV show? I may lean towards Scrubs.
Scrubs is another show i'd love to watch but it got pulled from Netfilx over the winter.

New Ricky Gervais Series ‘After Life’ Will Live on Netflix
Titled After Life, the series follows Tony (Gervais), who had a perfect life. But after his wife Lisa suddenly dies, Tony changes. After contemplating taking his own life, he decides instead to live long enough to punish the world by saying and doing whatever he likes from now on. He thinks it’s like a Super Power — not caring about himself or anyone else — but it turns out to be tricky when everyone is trying to save the nice guy they used to know.

Gervais created the series and will also executive produce and direct in addition to starring. Charlie Hanson who previously worked with Gervais on shows like Derek and Extras, will also executive produce. Netflix has ordered six half-hour episodes of the new series.
The plot is vintage Gervais, so I expect the show to be absolutely hilarious.

Cruising around IMdB today, I was looking up a History Channel show about Seal Team Six - now shortened to "Six." I saw a trailer for a second season, forgot it even had a first season, which starred Walton Goggins. The second season features a CIA agent played by Olivia Munn.

But looking at Walton Goggins IMdB page, I noticed he is starring in a pilot/reboot of LA Confidential. For CBS. Television.

That can't be good, could it? Maybe as a CBS Access show or something like Star Trek or the Good Fight, but as a scripted 23 episode drama? Nah.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more done in Scripted shows about the era of Boardwalk Empire. But I think that Goggins show would be better on FX.

‘The Last Man on Earth,’ ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine,’ Canceled at Fox
WHAT THE **** **** IS THIS ****. GET ****, FOX.

I can’t imagine that another network wouldn’t snatch up 99. It’s god damn hilarious.

Wow...I haven't seen it, but everyone I know seemed to love Brooklyn 99. Were the ratings that bad?

The ratings were down a bit, but they kept juggling which day the show aired on. There's also this:
Brooklyn Nine-Nine also was the highest-rated live-action comedy series on Fox this season with a 1.3 adults 18-49 Live+7 rating, edging LA to Vegas, The Last Man On Earth and The Mick (all at 1.2).
I'm sure somebody else will pick it up and bring it back to life.

Wow. I was actually thinking about that show yesterday and started googling season 6. This is when I heard it may be cancelled, but thought it lunacy. I guess Fox has their heads up their you know what.

The Last Man on Earth never should have made it past its pilot.

I've seen a lot of outrage over the cancellation of Brooklyn Nine-Nine and I feel like I'm the only one bummed about The Mick. That show was a lot of fun.

B99 gets canceled while garbage like Lethal Weapon - who already lost one of the two main characters - continues to bumble along with basically nobody watching.

There's a Lethal Weapon tv show?! I'm guessing it's not nearly as good as this:

I was pissed 99 was cancelled, but rumors were that it was coming. Hopefully Netflix or someone picks it up.

I watched an episode or 2 of the Mick and enjoyed it, but you knew that wasn't going to make it, so I just stopped.

The current rumor is that Hulu is looking into it. Which means I'll be pirating B99 if they pick it up.

No, NBC Universal does.
They own a portion as well, along with Disney, Fox, and Time Warner.
Hulu is an American subscription video on demand service owned by Hulu LLC, a joint venture with The Walt Disney Company (through Disney Direct-to-Consumer and International) (30%), 21st Century Fox (30%), Comcast (through NBCUniversal) (30%), and as of August 10, 2016, Time Warner (through Turner Broadcasting System) (10%). Through an acquisition announced in December 2017, Disney will acquire Fox's partial ownership, giving it a majority stake if the deal closes.
That's why a lot of the Fox/FX shows were taken off Netflix and moved to Hulu.
