Saw that last night. I’ll get it back to binge Stranger Things, but I’m done.

Netflix is getting good at raising rates and cancelling fan favorites. Good work.

@Dickie Dunn: You still watch Gotham?
I just watched the finale. They went the same route that Smallville did with Clark (didn't really fly while himself until the final episode) in Batman's last second reveal. Still, I think I liked it more than the critics did.

I'm amazed that these companies don't seem to realize that creating 10 or 20 different streaming options is only going to drive people to piracy.
Yep. The wife and I have been "crunching the numbers" and we're looking at it and to do Netflix, Amazon Prime, and all the other coming services would be more expensive than cable/sat or just buying the Blu-Ray when it comes out.

Amazon Prime has utility outside streaming so it's not going anywhere.

But as a cord cutter I wonder if this mass-streaming at an ala-carte level is going to flame out quickly.
I've been saying for a few years now that this is where it is going to end up. As streaming gets more mainstream, everyone is going to want their piece of the pie. And the consumer, assuming they want the same content, will pay more as shows won't be bundled together.

I Think You Should Leave sketch show on Netflix is pure gold. It's so dumb, but I haven't laughed like that in a while. Nice short 15 minute episodes. highly recommend.

Willow series may be coming to Disney+. That would be terrific.
“There are some really serious discussions going on with Jon Kasdan, who was one of the writers of Solo, who kept hounding me about Willow the whole time we were shooting and also hounding Kathy Kennedy. We’re in discussions about developing a Willow television show for the Disney+. And I think it’d be a great way to go. In fact, George always talked about the possibility of a Willow series, and it’d be great and more intimate, and built around that character and some of the others. And Jon Kasdan has, I think, an inspired take on it and it could be really, really cool.”

Is it me or does Bosch get better each season? I still have a couple episodes left of season five, but it's so good.

Also, @tifosi77 does the LAPD still use endless unmarked Crown Vics?

Crown Vics are still popular, but in the two and a bit years we were away it seems that the number of Suburbans in their inventory quadrupled.

Yah mon. That trailer is excellent, and it looks like the shorter season is adding to the effects budget.

Maddie's permanently furrowed brow doesn't get better with age, but yes, the show keeps getting better, improving from a B- to a B+. It's still somewhat formulaic, but nonetheless the best cop show currently on tv, imo. By far.

I do like the fact Maddie is a big part of the show. I know this came out of the books, but killing her mom and Bosch's ex made the show better.

Also the Crate and Barrell story arc is awesome. I'm only through episode 5.

I struggle with if Maddie is a good actor or not. Sometimes I think not, but other times she acts like a 19 year old college student.

I really love a lot of the side characters too - Ryan Hurst's P.I. is really good, as is Paul Calderon (Robertson) [he plays the bartender in Pulp Fiction "My name is Paul, this is between y'all"].

Not surprisingly, Opera Man, a sketch where they all just came out impersonating a bunch of Sandler's characters from 25 years ago, and his tribute song to Farley from his netflix special were the only things even remotely watchable. Check out the music video they did about "clothes being holes."

I tried watching SNL for the first time in a while. That Clothes Are Holes sketch was brutal. Just awful.

Clothes are holes was very bad, but I thought overall it was a very good episode and probably the best of the season so far.
