On a related note, Jack Quaid really looks like a younger Bill Hader to me.

I’m home sick today and decided to check out The Boys. I’m probably going to binge the entire season right now, because this show is great.
Plowed through it on a work from home day. It's so good and it's such a good adaptation of the source material that it makes me sad to think of what could have been with Preacher.

Good call. Certainly looks more like Bill Hader than either of his parents.

pretty much same exact situation/reaction from me.

this show is one continuous kick in the nuts. there has to be some sort of win down the pike. but it's in season 3 and the commercials still show them wearing those outfits, so i don't know how this gets less nut kicky

Like Walking Dead, Handmaid's Tale started out amazing but it's becoming apparent that they either have no idea where it's headed or are just taking too long to get there. The episodes are feeling very repetitive. They need to set an end date (if they haven't already) and work towards that finale.

The book had a definitive ending...until the sequel came out this year.

We have two episodes to go in season 1. I'm assuming the end of season 1 is where the book ends, and seasons 2 and 3 are the writers taking the story where they want to go.

Watched the first episode of carnival row. It was an hour long and they showed some monster bad guy for about 3 seconds and he was the best part and I hope he kills everyone.

Watched the 1st ep of The Dark Crystal and they are not messing around at all with this. Serious hardcore fantasy puppet drama and it's incredible. I can't imagine the amount of work that went into this, but I'm thankful that there are people out there that love their craft. This is why I love Netflix, I can't see anyone else throwing this kind of money at something like this for a specific group of people that are going to watch.

The effort level looks substantially higher than last year.

Anyone else watching Carnival Row?

Orlando Bloom was on Stern this morning talking about it and it’s already got a second season approved.

Half way through Diagnosis. Enough to keep me intrigued, but I can't stop feeling bad for all of these people.

finished up S2 Mindhunter. What an excellent season which caused many restless nights of sleep checking to make sure the doors were locked at 3AM. Looking forward to more, so well done.

Dexter is about the okayest show I’ve ever seen. Season 1 was great but 2 and 3 so far are kind whatev and at times contrived. Just started Season 4

Season 4 is the best season. And I’d claim it’s the only “good” season. The rest of the series gets a bump from a good premise and a great performance from Michael C hall, but everything else about it is seriously abysmal - starting with the other characters who aren’t dexter or John lithgow
