I was thinking writers strike season came later in Friday Night Lights, but 2 episodes into the 2nd season and it's already off the rails
Season 2 ended at 15 episodes because of the strike. The entire season was an attempt to make the plotlines more "extreme" due to the low ratings of S1. I think it's fine, but it's by far the worst season of the show. The best part of the season is, of course, the continued existence of Lyla Garrity.
Lyla Garrity is my least favorite character. Season 2 IS garbage, but luckily season 3 gets the show back on track. Season 4 and 5 are also great and provide a much needed change of pace.

Oh. I love how your go from the ending of season 1 to murder in season 2.

Lyla might be the most annoying character on the show.

I may take that back with Waverly, but at least she had mental issues.

WHY WOULD ANYONE CARE WHAT LYLA GARRITY HAS TO SAY?

WHY WOULD ANYONE CARE WHAT LYLA GARRITY HAS TO SAY?
Because Coach Taylor's speeches have taught me that words are important.

Started watching season 5 of Brooklyn 99 in prep for season 6 coming next year. 3 episodes in and it still has the goods. Andre Braugher and his straight-faced delivery get me every time.

His character is so great, and the show is worth it for him alone.

In other news, A Million Little Things is still terrific.

I’m about 1/3 the way done Daredevil season 3. The first fight scene between DD and Bullseye was fantastic. They way it started had me like ‘Ohhh ****, it’s goin’ down!!!’

And again I’m left wondering why Daredevil can’t show up in a Spider-man movie, if not a cameo in an Avengers movie. Charlie Cox can handle his own at that level, imo.

Very much this. I never got into DD when I was a kid, and the movies didn't convince me to do so, but god damn is Charlie Cox phenomenal in that role. I never want this series to end.

Evidently, Frank Underwood has a legit gravestone in Gaffney.

The most accurate Daredevil panel:

My feelings on DD are very much the same. Charlie Cox is awesome in the role and, other than Bernthal, is the one lead actor/hero in the Netflix Marvel series that has the acting chops for movies. Give me DD and D'Onofrio in a Spider-Man movie.

I would actually pay to see that in the theaters as opposed to streaming it. Throw in Punisher and I’m seeing it opening night.

Rashida Jones developing Kevin Can F--- Himself series, told from sitcom wife's perspective
Here’s the official description from AMC: “Kevin Can F*** Himself, (working title) from creator Valerie Armstrong (SEAL Team) and executive producers Rashida Jones and Will McCormack through Le Train Train (Claws) explores the secret life of a woman we all grew up watching: the sitcom wife. A beauty paired with a less attractive, dismissive, caveman-like husband who gets to be a jerk because she’s a nag and he’s ‘funny.’ Our series looks to break television convention and ask what does the world look like through her eyes? Alternating between single-camera realism and multi-camera zaniness, the formats will be constantly informing one another as we ask what happens when this supporting character is presented as a real person? And what if that person is pissed?”
Rashida Jones is involved? I'm in.

I’m only a few episodes in, but I’m still not sure how I feel about Parks and Rec season 7.

Is that the last season? I mentioned it a few weeks ago but the last few episodes are a series of very mundane victory laps.

Did you have trouble adjusting to buff Andy in S6? It took me a little while to get used to that.

yeah it did. Didn't they make some pretty funny remarks about the change and absence?
