Caught up on BBC Ghosts while in isolation, thanks for stealing me to the the other side of the Atlantic gents
It really is a perfect comedy. I’m so happy we’re getting another season series.

We're on the final 3 episodes of Wellington Paranormal, and hate that this is the end of the series. It's so damn funny. If you like WWDITS, you'll love this, too.

The intros actually remind me of Psych, with how they change them up. This season, they've been showing newspaper headlines, and they've all hilarious.

Hacks season 2 was very good. Only 8 episodes though, and no word on a renewal. It's weird because it's not produced by HBO, and I don't think I've seen too many shows with other production houses' credits before the HBO Max logo comes on. Anyway, it's good.

We recently started Hacks, I can't get over how funny Jean Smart is on this show.

I'll check this out cause it was shot in Pittsburgh. The movie is pretty damn perfect but Offerman is great and it looks like the show will tackle some interesting stuff.

Having recently rewatched the entire series, I can confidently say that Stranger Things s4 is the best season since the first. Really good stuff even with the age problem. But just release every episode you dadholes. If the last two aren’t ready then either hold off on releasing any or do a weekly release instead.

I agree. I was completely unenthused until I saw the trailer, and that got my expectations up. I thought the season was absolutely fantastic. Worlds better than 2/3. I don't mind the age thing really. Will's the only one that really sticks out and I think that wouldn't be as bad if they wouldn't force the little boy haircut on him. As for the older characters, I guess I'm used to 30 year olds playing teens in horror movies, so it doesn't even stick out to me.

Splitting up the season definitely sucks though. I don't believe for a minute that it's because it wasn't finished. They already have the run times of the episodes. They might be making little tweaks/perfecting the CGI, but they could have released all at once. They split solely to get 2 or 3 months worth of subscription fees from the crowd who only subs for ST.

Will definitely stands out but as I thought about it more his haircut and clothing style make a lot of sense. Will is nostalgic/has always wanted things to stay the same as they were when he was a little kid in season 1 before he was taken. So it makes sense that he wouldn’t change his look.

Liking S4 of ST, but kinda difficult to really binge with the 90+ minute episodes that end in cliffhangers, making you want to watch the next 90+ minute episode.

Completely agree. I would rather have 20 40ish minute episodes than 9 feature length episodes (don’t check my math on that).

I looked away for 5 seconds to check the score of the Lightning/Rangers game and completely missed the flip. Was thinking, how did the creature get out of the upside-down?

S4 thoughts:

I probably miss more 80s references than I care to admit. They are everywhere. I remember S1 catching one every 5 minutes. The above scene brought up ET memories again. Love this part of the show

All along in the back of my mind I kept thinking the guard in the asylum was either a figment of 011's imagination or just didn't belong somehow. Was also thinking 001 was still around/alive somewhere. For some stupid reason, didn't put 2 and 2 together to get 001.

severance. great show
they really positioned it well for season 2. i think the way the OTC ended was as good as possible - Mark was able to get his story out; Helly will be in a weird spot, could potentially spin it as a joke; Irv is going completely startled.

loved the twist with Mark's wife -- did she want to do severance and not tell mark so they staged her death?

Irv has been through several iterations of severance with the paintings of his outie and also he had christopher walken's name already on his map?

Finished up Wellington Paranormal last night. Such a great comedy, and I wish it had a longer run. It quickly turned into one of our favorite shows.

Anyone watch Made For Love on HBO Max? Sci-Fi show. It caught my eye this morning. It's already in its second season. It's about a guy who is definitely not Elon Musk who uses brain implants to make him and his wife a single unified consciousness. But then she wants a divorce and the whole show is her trying to break away despite being bonded through these implants. Ray Romano is also in it.

I might give it a go after we finish Dexter New Blood, which took about 4 episodes to get good and now we're hooked. Still have about three episodes to go.
Annnnnd, it's canceled. Will probably take it off the list, then. At only two seasons I assume S2 doesn't conclude the series.

Source of the post He also looks out of the place the most with his age.
I'm only on episode 3 but most of these kids have aged out of their roles and it's getting into Dear Evan Hansen territory. Nancy is 27. Jonathan is 28. Steve is 30. Will (Noah Schnapp) is actually the most age appropriate at 17. Mike, Dustin, and Lucas are 19 & 20. I know season 5 is the last season but I hope they do a time jump.
I'm a damn genius. I'd love to see Stranger Things set in the 90s.
