Keep going, eddy. It gets better. So much better. Karl Urban alone makes the show worth watching.

Rewatched The Boys in preparation for the next season. So **** good.
I couldn't get through the first episode
What made you stop? First episode is a bit of a slow burn but the show really builds.
Not really sure, maybe it was superhero overload at the time
I’d say give it another go. The show has superheroes but it’s not a superhero show.

Initial reviews of Umbrella Academy season two appear to be very favorable.

Starting getting back into NARCOS: Mexico season 2 and am enjoying it. I largely enjoy the surroundings and the way it is shot, even if the Americans are terribly written.

Everything we know about Netflix’s ‘1899’ from ‘Dark’ creators
Netflix’s German hit-series Dark ended only a little while ago, but the creators Jantje Friese and Baran bo Odar have known their next project for quite some time. In November 2018, Netflix announced their next series titled 1899 as part of the duo’s overall deal with the streaming service.

As the title suggests, the new series will be a period drama and the synopsis, which you will find below, might suggest there will be thriller/horror elements to it.

The synopsis of the new series is described as following in the official press-release:

“The original series revolves around a migrant steamship heading west to leave the old continent from London to New York. The passengers, a mixed bag of European origins, are united by their hopes and dreams for the new century and their future abroad. When they discover another migrant ship adrift on open sea, their journey takes an unexpected turn. What they find on board will turn their passage to the promised land into a horrifying nightmare.”
They had me at Dark. I'm in.

We’re halfway through season 2 of Dark, and it hasn’t let up. Just so damn good.

I didn't make it through the entirety of The Boys either. I think maybe 5 eps? My main problem is Jack Quaid sucks, and the whole "keep your hands clean" scene where they cut to him looking at that warning like 12 times was so eye-rolling overkill it just tainted everything that came after it

Wife and I are watching The Ranch. We've been enjoying, although just 1 season in, the story lines get repetitive. Not sure if that stays the same for the final 3 seasons.

I liked The Ranch. But yeah, it's kind of like Silicone Valley in that it is pretty tiresome how often the business is lost and then saved over and over again.

Last Chance U, which is the last season with football, was set in Oakland, CA at Laney College. Very interesting, and a different tone than previous seasons. It seemed to have more focus on Oakland and the Bay Area, probably because nearly 100% of the players grew up nearby (unlike other JUCOs they've had, where they are able to recruit nationally.) Definitely worth watching, but felt like Parts Unknown (without the food) at times.

Which reminded me how much I miss Bourdain. Ugh.

I liked that the coach for Laney seemed like he cared about the players as people first, then football players (even though winning was his goal).

I never got that sense from Coach Buddy in the first two, and while I haven't seen 3 or 4 I've heard the stories about that psycho.

Yeah, I really liked Laney's coach. Completely different from the two dadholes at the other schools.

Noice. The original is still one of my all-time favorites, including the theme song (which is the GOAT).

I hated Jean Grey as a kid because everyone else had awesome names and all she had a was the first and last name of a normal person.

My opinion of her changed once she looked like Famke Janssen.

Started watching Wizards on Netflix. It's the next installment from the troll hunters show. I did not watch anything after troll hunters, so it appears we missed some things, but still easy to pick it up. Pretty good so far, nice picking back up with the original group.

Watched 1st EP of Dark S3. WOW, if you were confused by the characters on the first 2 seasons, they are really not letting up with making things more confusing. Very cool episode though, things are pretty crazy

We finally watched Watchmen. We were avoiding it because of the poor fan reviews. What a mistake. That show was incredible.

Oh for sure. After watching, I'm convinced those poor reviews were just people upset that a character they identified with was made to be a white supremacist idol. I remember seeing a lot of complaints that it's "too political" which in hindsights makes no sense. The graphic novel was super political. Of course the sequel is. Also, very interesting to watch it now following the BLM protests.
