Always sunny back in September already? I think it’s the final season.

And season 13 is better than I remember.
It’s not the final season, or at least nothing has been announced. Rob said in January that they’re still doing Sunny for the foreseeable future, Charlie wants to make at least 15 seasons, and the head of FX said there’s a very good chance it continues after this season.

I’m ok with it, after understanding what they were going for with last season. And also getting used to how old everyone looks.

Not Mac, no. Or Charlie. The rest - yes. And it was startling how different this year was. But that’s something to lean into - how sad and insular these middle aged people are.

The Big Bang Theory didn’t pull off the same transition, to say the least. 😁

Deadwood

Season1: disjointed and not great

Seasons 2&3: fantastic

Movie: good but also upsetting that the show wasn’t popular enough in its time for a proper ending.

Well...big little lies is officially a good show now. Probably the most surprising turn in quality I’ve seen.

...except for anything surrounding the Zoe kravitz character. Her story doesn’t fit. Her and her husband have no chemistry at all. And apparently she has a daughter on the show, but I’m unconvinced.

Extra, Extra! Experience the wonder of the Inkwell Isles in full color and cine sound! That’s right folks, Cuphead and Mugman are on their way to Netflix with The Cuphead Show!

As expected, Friends will be leaving Netflix in 2020 to coincide with the launch of WarnerMedia's own streaming service which will be titled HBO Max and feature shows and movies from HBO, WB, New Line, DC, CNN, TNT, TBS, truTV, The CW, Turner Classic Movies, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Crunchyroll, Rooster Teeth, Looney Tunes, etc.

I signed up for Criterion Channel hoping to carry on the classics of film struck, but after a few months using it, I'm guessing those classics are not coming and it's sticking mainly to art house. I'd look into this above if they can capitalize on this part that is sorely missing in streaming.

also wonder if DC streaming service will just roll into this? SO there will be HBO GO, NOW and MAX?

For now it looks like everything will remain separate, which I don’t expect to last long. The stated target is 70 million subscribers for HBO Max, which won’t happen if everything is kept as a separate content provider.

I'd maybe subscribe if there's a deal for current HBO subscribers. Otherwise, nah.

Yeah, it's going to be more expensive the regular HBO Now which is $14.99 - making it more expensive than Netflix currently. I don't if there's a market for that. Disney+ for $7 is an easy sell for me.

If it's $2 or $3 more dollars than the $15 of HBO NOW, I think I'd take that up. That seems like a lot of content.

Make it free for the first year for HBO subscribers to boost your numbers and get people in. Then offer it for $17.99/month after the first year.

Wait I guess that's just the premiere being shown in Birmingham. Nothing for TV dates yet. Dang

Just finished S2 last night. Is this show still on or are the 4 seasons on Netflix it?

Yes. I’ll pirate that one because of him alone. Don’t care about their other ST show.
