AMC picks up 10 episodes of Joe HIlls NOS4A2
That's great news. I absolutely loved that novel. One of my favorites in quite some time.
Don't worry. Like all good things AMC will ruin it.

Looking forward to Lost in Space. It's with Molly Parker and Parker Posey, so I can't really be bad, can it?

Amazon going all in
The first inkling came back in February, when Deadline offhandedly mentioned The Dark Tower in a list of properties Amazon was currently developing. “Amazon made a mega deal for a Lord of the Rings TV series and is developing a slew of high-profile titles, including The Dark Tower, Wheel of Time, Ringworld, Lazarus, and Snow Crash,” the site wrote. However, at the time, Amazon wouldn’t confirm to io9 that this was actually happening. The closest we got was a representative who offhandedly suggested maybe the company just wasn’t ready to make an announcement yet.

Over this past weekend, former executive producer of The Walking Dead, Glen Mazzara, tweeted a Dark Tower joke (Mazzarra was announced as the showrunner for The Dark Tower TV series last August). This joke prompted Sharon Tal Yguado, the head of Event Series at Amazon, to quote tweet him and say “Our writers take their job very seriously” with the hashtag “DarkTowerTV.”

The tweets were captured and reported on by WheelofTime.tv, which is where you can see the screen captures of them; unsurprisingly, all of them have since been deleted.

There is a British/Swedish show on Netflix called "Fallet" that is quite excellent.

Cop show, part comedy, part drama, a dramedy one would say.

This is unexpected: Martin Scorsese will direct a doc about the great SCTV for Netfilx.

Season 2 of Santa Clarita Diet is pretty great. As much as I love Olyphant and Barrymore, Abby and Eric are show stealers.

Love that show...Lahey was my absolute favorite, just sucks that he passed away. He made some really neat Youtube videos about doing concrete/stone projects...seemed like a really chill dude.

Oh yeah, I remember him passing. I think I may have even posted a gif from reddit that featured him. I probably should have followed up on it back then, lol. I think I'll start watching it when the playoffs wind down.

Anyone watching the new Lost in Space on Netflix?

I like the production but the timing seems weird i.e.
The black daughter fell in the ice and they said she only had six hours to live. The father digs for who knows how long but it seems a while and then goes hiking in the snow to get the magnesium which we see is quite a distance away and the girl is still alive when he gets back.

I enjoyed Lost in Space. It's sort of fun and sort of dumb.

My wife isn't interested in it at all, so I get to enjoy watching the show at my own leisure. Same goes for The Crossing, which I'm liking so far.

Stranger Things season three: Netflix confirm Cary Elwes Pierre Despereaux and Jake Busey are joining cast
Cary, who will be known to most as Dr Lawrence Gordon in the Saw Franchise and Westley in the Princess Bride, will be taking on the role of Mayor Kline.
Dafuq? Literally nobody knows him from Saw. Moving on.
Mayor Kline has been described as ‘handsome, slick, and sleazy, more concerned with his own image than with the people of the small town he governs’.

Jake, the son of Gary Busey and Judy Helkenberg and star of the From Dusk Till Dawn TV series, will play the enigmatic character of Bruce.

Bruce is a journalist for the The Hawkins Post with questionable morals and a sick sense of humour.
