I never read the book so I can't tell you, but from what I gather, at some point in this season, they have eclipsed the book narrative and moved on to new territory in the story. This is original material from here on out. It really is compelling stuff.

Yeah, I think in many areas the show is better than the book (much like The Man in the High Castle).

I watched the second season of Goliath. I really enjoyed it, as I did the first season. Kind of dark, with a different ending than most shows. Only eight episodes per season, it's worth checking out.

That word always reminds me of the early 80s TV movie 'Goliath Awaits', about a Titanic-type ship that was sunk by a German U-boot but had a few hundred survivors who lived for decades 1,000 feet under the sea. Fun.

So evidently George Clooney was injured in a scooter accident on the Italian island of Sardinia. He'll be OK, but he's there filming a miniseries adaptation of Catch-22 for Hulu. I had no idea!

The original article I read said ‘motorcycle’. Later, I saw ‘scooter’ and had a good laugh, as that’s more of what I’d expect of him.

I know a lot of people who ride. To each their own, but it’s not for me.

According to Variety, FX has begun casting its pilot adapting Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra’s brilliant series, Y: The Last Man. Barry Keoghan (Dunkirk) is Yorick, the titular last man. Imogen Poots (Green Room) is his sister, Hero. Diane Lane (Man of Steel) is their mother, Senator Jennifer Brown (previously rumored to be played by Jodie Foster). Lashana Lynch (Captain Marvel) is the kick-ass Agent 355. Juliana Canfield (Succession) is Yorick’s girlfriend, Beth, and Marin Ireland (Hell or High Water) is Nora, the President’s assistant.
Great graphic novel series. Don't know the dude playing Yorick, but I'm auto-in for Diane Lane.

I love that Nick Offerman actually is Ron Swanson.

Nick Offerman is decidedly not Ron Swanson politically. They used Offerman's wood skills to flesh out the Swanson character.

I don't care one way or the other for him duping these people, but dressing up like a disabled veteran makes me want to curb stomp him. I have a buddy that is now disabled from an IED blowing up the hummer he was in. 2 died, but he and his friend survived. It isn't something to joke about.

I'm going to wait and see how it plays out. A lot of time, he's good at calling attention to an issue through his character. I'm sorry to hear about your buddy.
