Even better. They probably all had a blast on the set just joking around with each other, too.

i don't mind the cash grab, but i do think there's a correlation between comedians and actors shifting into this part of their career and also simply not being that funny anymore. this phenomenon is also called growing up. it's hard to keep your authentic perspective when you have to focus on a marriage or where your kids are going to school or how to manage a gazillion dollars. the less functional you are, the more your comedy lives on.**** making quality stuff when you can work that "Friend of Sandler" status. Easy movies, easy money.Figured Rock was in that "I'm not funny anymore but it's ok." Phase of his career. His involvement in the Grown Ups franchise does not make me excited for this.
Reports on Grown Ups 2 indicate Rock had a share of back-end profits of the $245 million worldwide box office haul, with some estimates putting the comedian’s take at $17 million.Chris Rock, David Spade, Rob Schneider and Kevin James recently found out it also puts you in the driver's seat -- literally. The actor recently shelled out a lot of cash on Maseratis for each of his Grown Ups costars. "I went outside the other day and I had a new Maserati in the driveway," Chris Rock told Howard Stern during an interview on his Sirius radio show. "Now I think that I'm Adam Sandler's [expletive]."

Carlin never had a problem with "growing up." Dude was funny til the day he died.

I don't think he counts since he died so young and unexpectedly. I was trying to think of a comedian who lived to a ripe old age and maintained his humor throughout. Mel Brooks comes to mind also, though he's obviously not a standup.same with mitch hedburgCarlin never had a problem with "growing up." Dude was funny til the day he died.

it's fairly safe to say a guy who died of a drug overdose doesn't really apply to the whole "you grow up - you not funny" scenario. and carlin seemed like a guy who wasn't really into conventional life and business choices. but if he was - ok. there will be exceptions.same with mitch hedburgCarlin never had a problem with "growing up." Homeland is going all in on the Deep State/Infowars/paranoia theme that was an undercurrent last season. Only one episode in, but it looks like a good season.

I wish Eddie Murphy would get back into stand up, but I don't think his material would work in 2018. I saw him on Kimmel last year, and when he flashed that trademark grin it was like watching BHC all over again.

His second-to-last HBO special was reeeeeeally dark. Like, it was kind of awkward and a little depressing to watch.Carlin never had a problem with "growing up." Dude was funny til the day he died.
Then he came out for his last special and opened with "I'd like to begin by saying f**k Lance Armstrong" and everything was okay again.

Did he play Eisenhower?
He was in Long Beach (which was like a ten minute drive from where we lived at the time) in 2007 or 8, and we pondered going. We ultimately decided not to, and immediately regretted it.
I did see Mitch a few months before he died, tho.

I kept the tickets and taped them inside the cover of my copy of Napalm and Silly Putty. I will look next time I go into my study.
