This is not going to end well for Kim Wexler.

David Spade interviewed a bunch of people from the series, and I was watching the one with the reality show producer. He said there was a bunch of terrible stuff that didn't make the documentary because of footage was destroyed and/ there wasn't enough room. He also said nobody liked him. He had no friends.didnt he make a comment when he was first introduced that joe exotic was one of the worst people he ever met?Didn’t really seem like he hated him that much on the show. Also, he must have been decent at his job for joe to get 19% in gubernatorial race.regarding tiger king - why did the campaign manager stick around for so long if he hated Joe exotic so much?

I just saw the Innocence Project has a show debuting on Netflix on the 15th called The Innocence Files where they'll be discussing some of the people they're freed and the injustices of the system. Really look forward to this series.

We're moving right along with this, but IIRC there were historical footnotes at the end of each episode. Specifically, at the end of the Peleliu episode it was noted that not a single US fighter operated off that airfield that fought and died over. Kind of an important point imo. So weird.Rewatching the Pacific with my son (yay!) but I noticed the Amazon Prime version does not have the Hanks introductions at least on the first two episodes. Are the HBO versions this way too?
I can't believe that miniseries is now 10 years old (almost exactly), and Band of Brothers turns 20 next year.

I rewatched it fairly recently after having just finished Band of Brothers. It's fine, but watching it directly after Band of Brothers was a bad idea. There's no way it can live up to that. How has The Pacific held up? I need to watch The Pacific. It's not surprising that it wasn't *quite* as good as Band of Brothers but it was critically acclaimed in its own right.

The Pacific is still very good... but one of the things that I think makes a difference in the two series is that with Band of Brothers, you get to see the characters going through boot camp and by the time they head out to war, you know them very well.
The Pacific kind of limits this part of the story and you learn more about the characters as it goes along.
Neither approach is really wrong per se, but I tend to prefer the former. I can understand that they didn't want to just follow the exact same beats as BoB.
It's still very good though.

Yeah, I agree with all of the above.
It's still very good, but the different viewpoints weaken character development.
My kids are fascinated with John Basilone and how he got to go home. They keep asking if he got married, wrote a book, had kids, and so on. We're at the point where he's training for Iwo Jima, so they don't know what happens. It's going to get interesting...

Worth checking out if you are a fan of The Sopranos
https://talkingsopranos.simplecast.com/
Also appears on YouTube, which is where I discovered it. Michael Imperioli and Steve Schirripa are doing a podcast/video where they are doing a rewatch of the Series, but lots of other interesting facts/stories mixed in.
Watched episode 1 yesterday and enjoyed it.

Are you pondering what I’m pondering, Pinky?
Well, I think so, Brain, but I’ll never understand how someone can get a job as a writer when they write a story like that and wait until the 10th to last word of the article to tell us WHEN the reboot might happen. That’s first graf-necessary knowledge! NARF!
