Just finished watching the whole series Sense8. Wow. Yes, its a bit of Sci-fi popcorn, but the story is so deep. Just really good stuff.

Wasn't sure where to point this, but here are Bourdain's notes on West Virginia.

Onto the next Youtube binge, Jonathan Winters. Holy hell, he's funny. His delivery is just hilarious.

He's definitely one that seemed ahead of his time.

Parts Unknown was scheduled to leave Netflix this week, but was extended for a few more months.

Anyone else watch The Terror? I'm about 6 episodes in (the tent party was in the most recent episode). It's a slow burn but very very good.

Into The Badlands satisfies my martial arts needs. The writing is terrible but it's a lot of fun to watch.

I want to watch that, but am waiting until it comes somewhere so I don't have to watch commercials.

I have found almost nothing about Archer: Danger Island remotely entertaining.
Then you should probably reexamine some of your more recent life choices. I mean, the last episode had two uncensored f-bombs, and two shts that appeared in unedited subtitles.

Plus, anything making such a blatant callout to Tales Of The Gold Monkey TV show from the early 80s (which itself was a blatant Raiders Of The Lost Ark ripoff) will get a well deserved 'huzzah!' from me.

Have you watched the episode yet? I'd rank it in the top ten episodes of all his shows, and possibly in the top five of Parts Unknown.

The uproar caused by his Pittsburgh episode still makes me chuckle.

It was pretty weak TV, honestly. "Lets see unknown Pittsburgh...*leaves Allegheny county for most of it*." k.

I have the season on dvd, but haven't gotten past e4 yet.

That said, if the most redeeming thing about the late eps is swear words, i hold 0.00% hope for the storyline, characters, dialog or Lana in compromising outfits and positions.

The entirety of Se10 of Parts Unknown was...... weird. Every episode was tinged with a measure of oddity that was new for his shows. C-Dawg said it best when he characterized the P-Burgh episode as 'joyless' - that was accurate for that whole season. And several episodes featured places that are dear to me: Singapore (even though I hadn't been there yet), Seattle, and my friends at ChefSteps, Pittsburgh, the Alps with his buddy Eric Ripert.... All of it had a melancholy that I pointed out at the time.

The season wrapped last night with a 3-minute preview of next season, which was essentially an homage to Alien. *sploosh*

New episodes of "Drunk History" start tonight.

To get you ready, here's a clip from last season. Mr. Rogers fights for funding for public television.
