I can only imagine the overblown nonsense that documentary is filled with.

I thought it was going to be a Chornobyl clone, but it is more about the media misreporting the story and the poor communication from various agencies during the response.
It is probably the documentary style making these people look as bad as they do. Forboding music, close cropped shots of them staring forlornly out of windows, while sharing pensive recollections of that day 40 years ago when nothing happened to them.
It almost comes off as a parody.

Watched it with my wife last night. We enjoyed it, but not enough to subscribe to another service to watch more. This was surprisingly good.
The voices are a bit off (getting 30 years older will do that), and the modern animation works but is noticeably different.
Brilliant move having them watch TikToks instead of just music videos, so perfect.

a bit bored this weekend so I cued up a few eps of Walking Dead. I'm one of a dozen people who've never watched that show. I'm maybe 6 eps in and I'm not sure if I'll stick with it. I like the storylines but the zombie deaths are kind of bloody and gross to me. not sure if I want to stick that out.....

Protip: I've had Paramount plus for 4 months and haven't paid a dime. Signed up under my email for the free month trial, near the end of the month they offered me another free month. Cancelled after that and used my wife's email for the free month and the same thing happened near the end of that initial trial. The sub is entirely tied to email so just use a new email when your trial ends.Watched it with my wife last night. We enjoyed it, but not enough to subscribe to another service to watch more. This was surprisingly good.

Excited for this
The U.S. and the Holocaust is a three-part series that tells the story of how the American people grappled with one of the greatest humanitarian crises of the twentieth century, and how this struggle tested the ideals of our democracy. By examining events leading up to and during the Holocaust with fresh eyes, this film dispels the competing myths that Americans either were ignorant of what was happening to Jews in Europe, or that they merely looked on with callous indifference. The truth is much more nuanced and complicated, and the challenges that the American people confronted raise questions that remain essential to our society today: What is America’s role as a land of immigrants? What are the responsibilities of a nation to intervene in humanitarian crises? What should our leaders and the press do to shape public opinion? What can individuals do when governments fail to act?
Premiering on PBS September 18-20, 2022, The U.S. and the Holocaust is directed by Ken Burns, Lynn Novick & Sarah Botstein, written by Geoffrey C. Ward, story by Kevin Baker and produced by Burns, Novick, Botstein and Mike Welt. (6 hours)

Just finished We Own This City - superb show all around. I would love to see more content like this and The Wire, because it's all done so well, and the actors just nail their roles.

We are halfway through We Own this City. Really good stuff. I mean really it's scary how corrupt things are in general, but the show and actors as you say just nail their roles.Just finished We Own This City - superb show all around. I wish I had not seen all of those stories about Stranger Things and Metallica, because I have literally been waiting for that moment ever since. I have no idea how many episodes are in this season (don't tell me), and imagine I'm close. Thought it would happen in the last episode we watched, but no. I guess at this point I'm okay with being surprised when it happens.

Not sure what you're referring to. There's no Metallica moment in ST4.
