Alexander, Burton, and Colony
The fan has been around for basically a decade at this point, so I regrettably will give the station props for lingering around longer than expected

Him and his Dad could only have a radio job here, so they should be lucky. Maybe they think he will be like Mike Golic Jr?

Burton was pretty good. As evidenced by him no longer being a broadcaster in this backwater market.

In all seriousness with Madden, I’m not sure when he ever *actually* wanted the Steelers and Pirates to win (maybe the 70’s? Since they were good and all fellow baby boomers playing).

Maybe deep down inside he does want them to succeed but just loves to play his tough guy, “the only 2 teams i care about are successful!” schtick.

Gotta say though, between the Pirates continuing to suck, Steelers continuing to lose without Ben and Conner/Juju fumbling, he’s really had his way with things fitting his narrative and gloating about it.

That’s funny he finally @‘d Pittsburgh Dad Jr. though. He’s a clown in a different way, and lower level.

Every time I see his photo, he just reminds me of some middle-aged single dude on Facebook, Tiktok etc. with the really awkward, close mirror selfie in the white undershirt.

I imagine Starkey is absolutely giddy at the idea of having Duck Hodges and the Anaheim Ducks in town at the same time.

Up next Ron we'll go from talking Duck to talking Ducks, Ron. Ya think Duck is going to go watch the Ducks play tonight, Ron?? I'll tell ya Ron you wouldn't believe the ducks we had on lakes back in Buffalo, Ron. It was tremendous! Now we got multiple Ducks in Pittsburgh. Whatdya think of that Ron?

I am kind of tired of hearing about Duck Hodges from the radio media. EVERYONE is pumping this kid of up like he's this season savior. The story is cool, but for Duck's sake I hope he performs.

Come on Morkle, you know the backup quarterback is always the media darling. The backup to the backup? Instant fame.

lol very true, but they seemed to have just forgot about them getting their wish that the back-up became the starter, then immediately went to the third when they found out the back-up wasn't as good as Ben, lmao.

I read this in my head in Starkey's voice and was simultaneously laughing to myself and wanting to punch myself. Spot on.

I just listened to 1 segment on my drive and I'm going to give myself the neighborhood play and say I nailed it. It was not far off. Heard "Duck" no less than 2 dozen times.

"It could be duck mania Ron!. People wearing duck bills and making duck calls Ron."

Then Ron follows that with an awkward segway to a live read for MyPillow.

Flipping thru on the way home dial lands on Crowley. Immediately it's a bunch of guys just screaming and hitting a duck sound effect over and over and over and over and over and over. Thinking Madden should probably do a little less chest puffing about being #1 in this market

The fan had Dave Dameshak on. LOVE Shak. Multiple times they would ask him some inane question and he would immediately ignore them and go on an entertaining but logical rant about something Steelers. It was hilarious because you could tell the hosts were miffed every time he ignored them.

Seth Rorabaugh is now traveling to Pens away games. To my knowledge, he rarely travelled further than Washington or Philly at his other stops at the Athletic and DK Pittsburgh sports.

He’s been pretty lucky to be able to jump around to all the local media outlets, especially after his absences: PG, DK, Athletic, and now the Trib. Don’t know where else he cans go after this.

Also, I turned on the Fan Sunday morning and heard The Paul Alexander Show. Talk about a blast from the past.
