...as a positive note, Tab Douglas just had Bob Grove on his weekend show. Both are excellent. As much as we hate on the so-called “talent” during the day... *cough* Cook&Poni *cough* Starkey&Mueller *cough* Colin Pittsburgh Dad Jr., etc...

Probably the best post you've ever made. Other than the misfortune of hearing Poni's national show today, the weekend talent on Da Fan is better (more likable?) than the crap they put on during the week. Tab, Josh Taylor, and Dorin Dickerson all do a damn good job. I like Chris Mack (and think the morning show greatly improves when he's filing in) and think he does a good job with his Pirates show. And Pomp is Pomp. I don't think he's a great sports analyst, but he runs a solid show.

I turned on Starkey and Mullzy on the way home Friday when the Brassard trade scenario was going down, and caught this part of the conversation.

Mullzy: "Brassard may technically be a Golden Knight briefly."
Starkey: I hope he says hello to Fleury!"

S: "What if it's Ian Cole going to Vegas?"
M: "Reunited with Fleury!"

I caught part of Poni's show today, and I think he was arguing against himself at one point.

I’ve assumed that Manafort is a UPS fan.

The most surprising part of Poni's national show is that the callers from all over the US of A were somehow worse than the yinzers that call in to the local shows. It was just brutal radio all the way around.

I honestly think he's the only one spreading these rumors that the Pens are interested in bringing him back. Have heard Cullen's name mentioned by literally no one outside of him.

Brutal. Just an awful excuse for drive time radio. Them two and Colony are at spring training this week. Mullzy posted a selfie of him and Starkey while traveling to Florida. Aww, give up the act. They will be most likely more unlistenable than usual this week.

I agree. Always liked Tab Douglas plus Pomp's time. Just a classy straightforward show. Total opposite of their weekday shows, its like on another planet.

"Welcome to Pittsburgh. Here's the douchebags you gotta deal with for the next 2 years..."

One thing stuck out to me here with the way Rossi's hanging over his shoulder on top of the lockers. One would think if he got there first he wouldn't climb like that. So I'm picturing him shoving his way thru the crowd and unathletically getting in the locker stall while Brassard is just thinking "christ, wtf is this?"

Tim Benz looks like a 12 year old who won a "sports reporter for a day!" contest.

Also, breaking news on the DK subscription front. Up 30 subscribers since Friday. Probably the first increase all year.
