I saw Pittsburgh Dad Jr. respond to that with Pittsburgh Dad. Which is odd coming from him since he does the exact same yinzer humor only somehow less funny.

I opened the Radio.com app this morning and saw the entire PM Show was uploaded in their podcast page and not just certain segments as before. Like Hour 1, 2, and 3. I listened and I confirmed there were no commercials. Wow, that’s major. Finally a better way to listen and just like iHeartRadio’s shows. Let’s see if they keep it up. I’ve only emailed them that suggestion like 10 times.

I looked at their other shows’ pages and they just have certain segments. Weird.

(of a person) subject to sudden or unpredictable changes of mood or mind.
"his mercurial temperament"

As in "Antonio Brown's temperament is rather mercurial."

Well that didn’t last long. The PM Team podcast was back to only a few segments for the show on the 29th and only one segment for yesterday’s show. I got halfway through the 28th’s entire show and they only took one call. They suck.

Does the 8AM hour on da Fan have more commercial and update breaks than normal? I am usually in the car from 7:55-8:40AM and I swear they only talk about six-seven total meninutes in that span. Yesterday, half of that was talking about Buffalo Chicken Dip and golf.

I used to listen to da fan from about 6:45 to about 7:05 each morning but stopped because it generally involved one or two updates plus yesterdays twitter poll plus a lot of commercials.

I definitely think the morning show has way more commercials than the rest of the day. I don't care how they try to play it off. There's no way they ever talk for longer than 5 consecutive minutes.
I had the middle show on maybe thru 3 segments total yesterday and heard starkey mention Buffalo 3 friggen times. Three. Today I had it on for maybe 10 min total and he reminded us he used to be a savvy YOUNG newshound.

I enjoy the Madden Vs. Pittsburgh Dad Jr. battles that happen every so often. Mostly because Pittsburgh Dad Jr. is a giant hypocrite and always says stupid ****.

They play that ad about how Pittsburgh is a passionate sports town and so is the Fan,
Blah blah. How passionate are they when the majority of each hour is with ads and commercials? Or taking one caller in two hours?

I listened to the first hour of the Wingo and Golic show on ESPN Radio and their first segment was close to 30 minutes! No ads or breaks or updates.

Unfortunately the over/under for words said about hockey in that 30 minutes was 4.

I loved Bouchette slapping him down yesterday about his ridiculous argument that the current Pats team could be the '78 Steelers. My favorite part was when he asked Mullzy "You do know football existed before the current era, right?" And also told him to quit being the contrived contrarian.

I did a mental fist pump.

I know its what most radio stations do now, but I cannot stand the live ad reads, where they act like its just conveniently an extension of the conversation. An irrational pet peeve, if you will.

Oh, and Madden's now hocking zerorez. Did him and the Fan just wifeswap Zerorez and the Shenderovichsss'ss's?

Yeah, they talk to introduce the next segment in 25 minutes and then say “Hey it’s Colin Pittsburgh Dad Jr., you gotta get these nudie pajamas..” yeah we know who you are. Shut up.

For me, it's because I need noise in the morning that's not music and that's the only channel I get in my bathroom that fits the bill.

In the afternoon, it's because I'm a masochist clearly. But - they do get some good guests, i.e. John Clayton.

I wish the folks like Jeff Hathhorn and Eric Hagman had larger roles.

Hags is down in Bradenton covering spring training. As Greg Brown pointed out on Twitter: "Eric Hagman's sports reports on The Fan are as good as it gets. He does a phenomenal job...all year long. Pgh is lucky to have him." Pomp added - "He and Jeff both can capture a whole day of news into a very short time frame...you never miss anything with these two!!"
