I was laughing the other day as some yinzer called into Zeise's show and was fuming that Mike Tomlin is racist and that was the reason they didn't draft Winovich (kid from Michigan) at linebacker and said no one ever calls Tomlin out on that.

Zeise responded asking him what color TJ Watt is.

Seemingly Pensblog random writer is patting himself on the back for the free work he did this year on that site. I haven't thought about the Pensblog in a positive light since Adam and Derek left. They had their moments too, but Pensblog is just another hackey blog now.

That's the Dom Simon fanboy. Because some things Simon does translates well to finger paints so that must mean him and his no goals contribute way more to this team than any of us could possibly comprehend. Also Murray is God and Rutherford has no idea how to build a team.

I've heard these takes from other people on the Twitter-verse too, what a shocker.

As for DK - arrogance is a pre-requisite attribute for anyone who is running their own paywall blog site.

I think what DK wrote there was supposed to be tongue in cheek but knowing DK, he probably meant it.

Pretty offensive that the “TV writer” (???) for the PG fielded a question in a Q&A insinuating Pomp takes too much vacation time.

Pomp is the last of a dying breed - living legend in local broadcast media, best in the business. Vacation time is negotiated in contracts and he can command a lot. Talent dictates.

Legend? I last I lived in Pgh in the mid 90's he was the weekend guy on channel 2. What did he do since then to become legendary?

Celina actually is really good. I won’t deny her looks and last name have helped her along the way though.

And okay - he was the weekend guy over 20 years ago when he was much younger. He’s been a mainstay virtuoso who watches and knows a good amount every sport. But his real claim to fame is his charm, lots of people love him.

lol she's good at her jobs tho at least. I'm vehemently against her having 2 Stanley Cup rings however.

Speaking of Pomp, he started small talking me at the salad bar in the Market District last week. Nicest man in America.

If longevity is key I guess Ron Cook is also a legend.

Longevity + CHARM. Cookie, though I’m a fan, I recognize lots of people aren’t as he lacks the charm of Pomp, doesn’t have the looks and is on radio/the paper, not TV.

Speaking of looks, really excited to watch former KDKA anchor Julie Grant on CourtTV. She’s one of our own and will be doing big things.

The TV Q&A is so dumb and outdated. You probably send in questions weeks or months before it gets answered. Probably no one under the age of 50 reads it or sends in questions. It’s questions you can easily Google is the people seem weirdly obsessed with local news personalities.

Yeah, like those old Q and A's with James Bradley in the back of Parade magazine. I loved reading those growing up.
