Ha, Madden had some cryptic twitter post saying that rumor was that Madden was involved in a fight with his producer, the producer punched him and broke his jaw, they were suspended a week, and that Madden had it coming and no one was going to be fired, but his jaw is wired shut. But because it happened in the studio he was still undefeated in the streets.....

Alluding to that's what happened with Pittsburgh Dad Jr..

Right, but that doesn't make sense either, because Pittsburgh Dad Jr. posted a video to someone else's response about jaw being broke...so did it happen to Mack?

Sports media in this town is lame, and more drama than the teams they cover.

if it's not true, why are both of them off at the same time? From what I saw on Twitter, supposedly there wasn't an announcement that either of them would be off from the week prior. Not that is a rule set in stone that says you have to say it before signing off for the day, but it seems like they usually did a "_____ is off on Monday, so you'll be stuck with ______" type of thing when somebody takes time off.

Yep. This does nothing. Last part of that statement (almost seems like some officially sanitzed message) should have said something like "I'm taking the week off on a pre-planned vacation yada yada" or "The reason I haven't been on the air is XYZ" if he didn't want further speculation on why he isn't on the air. By not saying that it just further fuels the rumors.

Truth. The workplace part, I have no insight on working with Madden although I have heard he’s a good guy outside the show. I’m just not interested in the schtick.

I've never heard a bad word about Madden from those who have met and interacted with him. Can't say the same for PDJ or DK.

From what I've heard Pittsburgh Dad Jr. and Mack hate each other (don't think that's much of a secret) so Pittsburgh Dad Jr. basically forced management to choose him or Mack. (I'd imagine, but can't confirm Mack caught wind and that lead to any altercation there might have been either Thursday evening or Friday before show time.)

The station offered Mack the 6pm-10pm slot to replace Zeise but it'd be a pretty big demotion in terms of on-air standards.

The fact that neither has been on for the past few days, and there was no “goodbye” or “last show”, and no announcement of any promotions or rescheduling, along with the abruptness of it, tells you something happened. Madden doesn’t just make **** up like this. Someone close to the station is clearly telling him this. Seems to me like something pretty major happened between them and the station has them both on leave before they make a final decision.

Pittsburgh Dad Jr. is an insufferable dick bag and while Mack is nothing special, he seems like a nice dude and I've liked him going back to the Junker and Crow days. How management doesn't just tell PDJ to **** off and roll with Crowley, Dorin, and Mack kind of blows my mind.

Wow I could totally see Pittsburgh Dad Jr. doing that..demanding a meeting with management to pic him or Mack. They should have called his bluff and picked Mack. Does he think he's a bigshot? lol... What's the downside to dumping him? No one likes Pittsburgh Dad Jr. plus he's getting roasted on Twitter.
