What I truly can't stand, is that it isn't the first time a lady has called up who may have been older who he treats with condescension. I don't know if he thinks he's being nice, but you clearly had a lady struggling to make points and discuss, and he purposefully kept her on to act that way.

Most guys that spoke like that would get hung up on straight away.

DK has in his Grind that he told all of us that Pittsburgh fans like to cry, but don't actually go into action when they are unhappy with their sports, hence why there were still 30K people at the Pirate home opener. He proceeds to tell us he is sick of talking about fans boycotting and not doing anything, yet he continues to be one of the only people writing about it over and over.

And on another note, he said Pitt BB has no fans because none showed up this year. Weren't Pitt fans doing what he is saying you should do when you are unhappy with your team and didn't come to the games, therefore a change was made?

So Cook is schadenfreuding about the low home opener attendance and DK is blasting Pittsburgh for not boycotting the game entirely.

Have these turds just completely erased their ability to cover sports by being reactionary morons.

DK is eternally triggered by the Pirates. There's no way he would survive long without lashing out for attention in some manner.

I also think Starkey would be top of my list of the worst person on the Fan. His only saving grace is that he doesn't exist to me anyway since he's on when Madden is on, but that dude is awful too.

I'm indifferent with him. Poni and Pittsburgh Dad Jr. are by far the worst IMO.

Probably the least surprising thing I've learned about Starkey from that show is that he's a grown man who can't handle caffeine.

It’s on Voy. His contract wasn’t being renewed, so he decided to just quit now. Or something.

Ah well, no big loss. Wonder if they bring in someone to replace him i.e ex athlete or keep it a two man show

Since this is also the defacto ESPN train wreck thread. Greenberg's new show is like a week in and they're doing this

Watching my pal @Espngreeny and everybody on "Get Up" this morning, talking about Michael vs. LeBron. I'm still a Michael guy, too. But it's always worth remembering Michael's Bulls never played a team in the Finals as good as these Warriors have been the last 3 years.

To our readers:

Avoid the price increase!
Our prices go up just after 11:59 p.m. Monday -- that's tonight! -- but you can buy into the future to keep your rates the same, or even lower than your current one depending on the package. Visit this page to see how.
The response to this from our existing subscribers has been overwhelming, and I mean that on many levels. We'll share numbers on this once it's all done, but the commitment so many of you have shown, the passion that you have for what we've built here ... it's been pretty moving, to put it mildly.

They increased the price to subscribe, and today is the last day to take advantage of old pricing.

I guess my point is, you don't have anyone and you're raising prices? Your existing subscriber response has been overwhelming and you're raising prices?

I guess my point really is, I loathe DK.

I'm pretty sure it needed the drama to survive. Since all the changes have been made - I actually continually forget that site exists. Same for The Athletic - they're both just blah, imo.

Hot Take: DKoPS will outlive the Athletic which will not exist in 18 months when the venture capital dries up.
