If he was the only writer for his site he'd probably still have 38,000 subscribers.

i believe his subscriber count was steadily increasing until the article, and now has decreased over a period of a few months. That isn't good

I like Matt Grauba the Pitt writer. He has been a pleasant surprise IMO.If he was the only writer for his site he'd probably still have 38,000 subscribers.

Grubba had a good interview with Dick Groat the other day. Groat was critical of the Pirates' baserunning ability. Good stuff.

Throw a uniform on Dick Groat and he'd have more HRs than Josh Bell the rest of the season.

lol, I remember that my post was the one that brought her into the fray. That was simultaneously funny and terrifying.after dodint quoted that white knight post, I went back and re-read most of that saga from late January. probably a top 5 moment most entertaining moment in Kenny the kangaroo's internet message board historyI still found it hilarious that the crazy eyes lady registered here to defend herself.

It seems she didn't get the follow-on traction that she appeared to be looking for. It was gone as fast as it came, and it looks like she hasn't said another word about it.

Actually I would probably argue even more that it was used as a vehicle to drive more visits to that garbage PHN site before Fartka went there after his religious melt-down because he worked for DK who may or may not have been a sleazeball. I am incredibly skeptical of motive without proof, and no further pushing.
People shouldn't be allowed to just say, based on wild speculation and provide little to no proof to justify if it exists.

yeah, thought it was weird that she did a drive-by and hasn't said **** since. It seems she didn't get the follow-on traction that she appeared to be looking for. It was gone as fast as it came, and it looks like she hasn't said another word about it.
Although to be honest, I kinda forgot that post even happened until 30 seconds ago.

When he lost Audrey, he lost me, but the show goes on. And you’re probably right, I doubt losing say Lance Lysowsowski (?) or Cristopher Carter or w/e would cause an exodus. People subscribe for DK. And the Athletic aside, I’d say, because of just DK, it beats other alternatives such as “Pittsburgh Hockey WHEN? Pittsburgh Hockey NOW!” or other random people out there who’ve started their own pay sites (Crying Tim Williams, Matt Williamson apparently now, etc.). He has produced some excellent pieces. But I get that it’s not like he alone can cover anything. If he was the only writer for his site he'd probably still have 38,000 subscribers.

Came into work later this morning. Boy, hearing Cook and Poni shout over each other about whether Le'veon Bell is the Steelers most important, or 3rd most important player was a treat.
Ron was speaking in one off sentences like how he writes his columns. So he would pause and be silent, then halfway thru Poni talking Ron would say something else. Pause. Poni starts repeating what he said and Ron says another sentence fragment. And so on and so forth..

Giannotti was always good with the impression tho.Chris Russo and Francesa. My God. I'd take a power drill to my temple before I'd ever listen to those two have a conversation. Much less a shouting match.
