I don't follow such trends, but Target seems to be uh targeting urban areas for new stores. Downtown Charleston (SC) - cobblestone streets, carriage tours, Rainbow Row, etc. - is now home to a Target. The locals, who hate everything new, don't like it. But it's great for people (ie college students) that live downtown and don't have a car or want to use public transport.

I can't speak to DK's point about Pittsburgh, but it seems like a good fit for the same reasons.

It's their hometown but Minneapolis has had one downtown at Nicollet Mall for a long time.

Also not a big city but State College has one downtown now. My son's apartment is catty corner from it.

I can't believe the PG and the Fan continue to employ someone who would actually write the phrase "makes you sound like a big dummy."

https://www.post-gazette.com/sports/pau ... 2207050092

Also, he says the Holmes deal " looks like it may have been a bad deal for the Pirates, " then says "The Pirates made smart deals and good trades for both Holmes and Taillon"

Well which is it?

Meh, I can't believe I read the whole thing.

I read that too, Francis. What a waste of my time. Der, yinz are idjuts for saying the Pirates are a farm team. Well, make a case otherwise, dummy

For the first time in my life, I agreed with Pittsburgh Dad Jr. today. Pretty much said that anything Rossi reports, especially with regard to Malkin, needs to be taken with a HUGE grain of salt, because he just takes one sides of things and pushes it out there. Also brought up the big whiff on Sid being a healthy scratch for the playoffs this year as well as other goofy crap.

Again, I always go back to the arena deal over a decade ago. I emailed and asked his thought son what would happen to the Pens, and his response to me was that he was certain they were going to move to KC and they are all but dead in Pittsburgh. Literally the next day the arena deal was announced.

They obviously got good value for Taillon, not sure anyone would contest that.

The return for Holmes is 40-man fodder and can't be considered "good value", Park and Castillo are AAAA guys, but the latter may have a shot at sticking as a utility guy, but that's his ceiling. Holmes might benefit from more advanced sticky stuff that the Yankees are probably getting away with. I mean, it does seem weird that all of a sudden, Holmes now has some unhittable slider. Right, so some Yankee coach taught him a new grip or something...seems legit.

Is Lolley the only one who has stuck around? I feel like DK is a revolving door at this point.

It's only a matter of time her her, imo. She started when she was incredibly young, IIRC.

Wow DK, sorry your Cheerios got Sh*t in. He needs a break or something from the Pirates and defending living in Downtown. You'd think he'd have less of an edge after his Serbia trip..

nah, will always be a piss baby until he dies

Paul takes his work very seriously, which is why one can tell that he has worked very hard to improve his craft and study the topics he plans on discussing. That's why he always delivers concise, coherent points and delivers a quality product every night.
