Kessel has played good hockey consistently for pretty much this entire season. Now, he’s starting to get some help.

He’s the guy who wants to trade Kessel.

Had not listened to Rome for a while so tuned in to the CBSSN show while working at home. I get that the Jungle is kind of a cult thing but after all that went on yesterday, 1/2 hour of today's show on Adam Hawk getting a cat tattoo?

Apparently Greg Gianotti has moved up in the world and is now on CBS Sports Radio national with Boomer Esiason, replacing the abysmal Craig Carton.

Why can't Pittsburgh Dad Jr. disappear to some crummy national show that nobody can listed to?

That’s the WFAN local show, not the national CBS show.

I thought Gio's previous show was the WFAN local show and that he moved up a few months ago.

I’ve heard JJ once for about 45 minutes and thought about killing myself for every one of those minutes. Worst thing I’ve ever heard. No idea how that guy has a career. If the worst thing on Da Fan is 1 on a scale of 1-10, JJ is a -100. **** that guy.

I just discovered the Radio.com app has Podcasts for each of the Fan's host's shows and each track is a segment from the show, so you can pick and choose what topics to listen to. It is so much better to listen to the Fan shows this way without all the commercials/updates/BS. Just have to wait a day for them to be uploaded.

How are so many of these radio shows/podcasts even in existence? There’s too many of them. How is it they all have enough listeners to justify paying these people?

The Athletic is opening up to baseball now. Can't see anyone leaving DK because I don't know who the beat reporter is, and I don't think DK does either.

Lance Lysowski.

Word on the street is to keep an eye on Deadspin these next few days... may be some shocking revelation about one of our favorite media personalities.

I saw that on the Voy thing. Deadspin announced the Athletic was hiring baseball reporters. I would imagine that's what it is, not anything related to DK - he's simply not "big" enough to make that site.

Some #FakeNews out there. I happen to know Bob Nutting. He is as good a man as I have ever met. He is an excellent team owner who righted a sinking Pirates ship. He cares deeply about the organization & wants to bring a championship to Pgh. THAT is the truth.

I even like Greg Brown, but this take is horrible. :face:

I've always liked Brownie but he started to lose me toward the end of last season when his hot take on Starkey and Mullsey was some nonsense about how that **** roster was actually a talented team and the players just weren't performing up to expectations. He's become a hardcore defender of management and ownership.

He was comparing them to the Dodgers and said something like if you go position by position, the Pirates are right there with LA. This was, mind you, when the Dodgers were 50 games above .500. That's the point I couldn't like him anymore. I enjoyed him on the call and his homerism never bothered me, but that was too damn much.

What's the rumor? I want to know!

As for Greg Brown, yeah, I like him as a play by play guy, but man is he on the Pirates koolaid.
