I want to celebrate Mark Madden. His journalism at Triblive is truly enjoyable.

Except for one thing.

He seems to have attended the same school of writing as Ron Cook. Except he went to Duquesne, which is less prestigious than Northwestern, a school of which Cookie is an alumnus.

There's one thing though.

The one sentence paragraphs.

What do I know, though. I'm just some idiot on a message board who may or may not have a tested IQ of 166.

Here's another one sentence paragraph to close this post. Just for good measure. Wait, I added a fragment.

To be fair, he just writes how he speaks and had to breath heavily between sentences.

Sean McDowell's Twitter feed is great.
I'm not even a big fan of 99% of the bands that I would hear on DVE, but he puts out lots of interesting stuff.

If I remember from my esteemed high school journalism class days, there is no requirement that a paragraph has to be a certain length

You can have one sentence paragraphs.

The point thats been made about Cook is that his stories are chock full of them .

That’s fine if you’re going for tabloid journalism.

Or in third grade.

They should just post tweets.

That's the first line, and as far as I got.

Nothing better on a monday than reading Steigerwald dabble in neuroscience.

This article likely prompted by discussions on his chevy corvette message board.

Cooke and Joe will be the only Fan show that will be commercial free for their entire show on 2/14. Morning show and PM team get an hour break.

Cook and Joe might murder each other. Will Cookie last?

They’ll just re-run their interview with Neil Walker’s dad (he almost died with Clemente!!!!!) a half dozen times.

Pittsburgh Dad is supposed to be on The Price Is Right.

Oh good, I can't ****ing wait for tired jokes about redding up and Permanty's.

The headline of every single local media outlet is going to be "Come on DAHN!" and you know it.
Did this fall through the cracks or did I miss it? Granted I was away for a week+ over Christmas, but I figured this would have gotten more pub from the local media.

That's bizarre. Like how many people even get what a Yinzer is?

That's what I was thinking. The only connection is Drew from Cleveland so the Browns/Steelers rivalry. I dunno why people outside of those groups are expected to get the 'joke"

I'm almost sure he brought his act to ESPN for a Pitt football game and everybody was confused by the end of the bit.

Maybe it was a subtle way for Drew to insult yinzers since he is from Cleveland?

Working with Mueller would certainly make me want to go elsewhere.

I listed to some of Poni’s National show last night.. I never had before. He’s pretty much the same as he is here, but less of the goofiness of the PM Team. His show (Poni Express) has its own bumper audio. He took maybe three or four callers in the 90 minutes I listened and he basically insinuated there was a conspiracy theory to name Mahomes as MVP

Who’s this Stacy Kauffman doing evening updates? She talks like her mouth is stuffed with cotton balls.

Didn’t she win one of their contests that they stopped doing after determining she was the best available?

I know he occasionally does weekend stuff nationally, but if he's taking graveyard shift stuff during midweek on the national side, I wouldn' t be surprised if he's planning an exit soon.
