Did they just say Shazier injured his shoulder earlier on this drive? Dude is Mr. Glass.
Reprtedly minor; merely a flesh wound. Their Dbacks are all always hurt. I hope it's from Lake beating the crap out of them after games

@slappybrown Kudos for a highly successful GDT! Went to Six Flags with the kids and was following along while in line. Just got home from the Brazilian rodizio steakhouse. Such a satisfying day all around.

I'm the old geezer. Some time back I forgot password and had difficulty retrieving it. Eventually I re-registered. It's kind of a long story but I try to avoid being an old guy that rambles on.

At some point around 2013 Antonio Brown went from "gaffe-prone receiver more interested in dancing after every catch than actually making the catch" to "serious professional". Didn't think it would happen, but it did and he's the best receiver in football now. Maybe Mike Wallace just that bad of an influence.

He still dances like an idiot after 1st downs.

But then again, so do most receivers.

It seems like the first down thing to ed down, or maybe its that everyone on the team does it, but its not as annoying...or maybe its that hes the best receiver.

My little league football coach would bench any kid dumb enough to do that. Of course he never had to.

AB now has 125 more receiving yards in his career than Lynn Swann.

This is a bonkers throw. 50 yards in the air on the money dart in a space about 5 feet wide, while rolling right.

Brown might make a run at 2000 receiving yards this year.

Didn't Lynn Swann have a fairly short career, in comparison to other players?

AB is already better than swann was. Swann shouldn't even be in the HOF, but that's a whole nother argument haha.

118 games spread across 9 seasons, so he missed about 26 games due to injury. His stats are surprisingly unremarkable, especially with today's receivers. Best season was 61 receptions for 880 yards and 11 touchdowns. His hall of fame induction is completely dependent on his athleticism and tendency for amazing catches.

In my eyes, AB is the most talented receiver in Steelers history and its not really close. First in receptions per game and receiving yards per game. I'd wager on him being a Hall of Famer before all is said and done.

But we're comparing across era, so using raw numbers to compare AB to Swann isn't really insightful IMO.

Now, even if you stack him up with his peers, his numbers don't jump out, so I would say he's the weakest of the 70s era Steelers HOFers, and Greenwood and Shell deserved it over him.

It's not insightful at all, just surprising that he's already at that point.

And agreed on both points about his HOF status.

The 49ers had drives of 17, 18 and 15 plays that took over 20 minutes off the clock and which netted a combined 3 points.

Favorite factoid of the game.

As a 49er fan one positive I will take away is that Kaep had to pass alot, and he didnt look lost doing it. He was actually going through reads(when he wasn't running for his life). I think he's matured as a passer. He's never going to be a purely pocket guy, but his development has come along nicely. Whatever Warner showed him this off season seems to have helped. Hopefully he keeps progressing.

AB doesn't have to go up against head hunters like Jack Tatum... Just remember Darryl Stingley to imagine what that was like.

That's fair, the league's rules in the 70s versus today are drastically different and in favor of passing offenses.
