Freeing yourself of obligations towards PHEAA is a day to look foward to.

They've collected thousands of dollars in fees and penalties from me for a loan I never took. It's complicated, and I didn't have the bandwidth or resources to dispute it at the time, but they can collectively go suck a bag of herpes-riddled dicks.

29k for me, 70k for wife. if I stay at my position for a couple more years we'll be able to start taking big whacks out of it. Right now though mine are deferred because I'm in grad school. We're paying on hers though.

We are extremely lucky that both my wife and I were on full athletic scholarships. I think we graduated with a combined debt of $3K. She's racked up about $20k more in graduate degrees, but her work reimburses 90% of it.

Have about 30,000 left, I believe, in loans. Luckily, grad school won't add anything additional to that.

:fist:

I always get the whole "Man, how big are your loans going to be after grad school???" I love the look on their face when I say "Grad school doesn't add anything. In fact, they pay me."

I'm in the same boat. Work for a university, go for free. Imputed income does suck though.
