The standard Dewars and chivas are both bad and you all should feel bad for drinking them. The chivas 18 (I think it's 18) in the blue box is tasty.

If I'm drinking brown liquor on the cheap, it's CC all day, with VO and 7 and in 2nd and 3rd. CC is criminally underrated.
i assume CC means something other than canadian club??

I don't know why but over time I've liked it less and less compared to other similarly priced options.

Is it of poor taste to have enjoyed the macallan 12 more in this situation?

Not at all. The Macallan 12 was my gateway drug so it has a special place in my heart. Its the scotch I have drank the most in my life.

Amen, bruddah. And it pains me somewhat to say that as an Irishman, but it's true. Jammy is very much the Guinness of Irish whiskeys.

With spring/summer approaching, sipping on scotch may not do it for the evening drink. Looking to go get a bottle of bourbon and a bottle of rye whiskey to make some cocktails with the changing weather. Any recommendations? I'm looking at under $30 a bottle if possible. I'm thinking Bulleit, but open for recommendations.

:thumb: Picked up Bulleit Rye and the Four Roses bourbon. I'll taste and report back (after I get over this cold... or maybe kill the cold with whiskey?)

Chamomile tea, lemon, honey, and some bourbon will definitely help clear that cold.
