My good friend is 47 and been oly lifting for 30 years, holds records and he notices **** on the road while in a car with him ... That nobody with poor eye sight does

You should tell her to use a rack or spotter. Not safe with that weight. Even when I used to power lift in football, 700lb + squat, I never would not use a rack. I had my knee give out warming up once. It's isnt fun having 300+ lbs compress your spine.

Thats not how any Olympic lifter trains and yes, its perfectly safe to train this way.

The only reason he used that rack was so that he didn't have to take all the plates off to put the bar back up for another attempt.

Mattie rogers can clean the weight that she is squatting from the floor.

And not to sound like a dick, but I had 375 pounds "compress" my spine the other day

Not to sound like a dick, but I highly doubt you did 375 in snatch. The overall world record is only like 460 lbs and that's for the 230+ weight class.
