Heh, it's funny, I'm updating my resume now and I was thinking, "do I really need to include my journalism degree from Rutgers on here anymore? It's sooooo not relevant"

Khalil Mack played one year of HS football 16 or 17 years ago, I'm sure he gives aaaall of the s**ts what his recruit level was.

Is it meant to motivate 1-star recruits new to the team? "Look at 52 over there. He played 10 games of high school ball, and now he's a 8x Pro Bowler. All you have to do is be Khalil Mack and you'll be fine."
I get the feeling it's more of a see all this stuff? None of it matters. No special lockers, no cliques, you need to earn those privileges and you sure as hell didn't do it last year.

That's a super compelling message to send months before the team moves into their new $270 million facility.

Harbaugh isn't new to the NFL and he has had pretty decent success before. Likening him to Urban Meyer is bad. He may be cheesy, very cheesy, but he has won everywhere he's been

Is this that big of a deal...?
You have your high school GPA on your resume don't you?

But seriously, it's just funny off-season stuff from a guy who maybe spent too many years coaching college kids and forgot how to motivate rich adults.
Do people still put GPA on resumes? I mean I look at resumes everyday and the only time I see it is from a fresh graduate.

I haven't seen it in a while. Nor would I ever look for something like that or be impressed/unimpressed by it as a hiring person...

I don't think I've ever put my GPA on a resume in my life.

There is a spot for it on federal resumes but I started leaving it blank a while ago.

Does anyone still have their high school transcripts? I certainly don't. I still have a couple of sealed ones from college that I've never had to use.

Sealed transcripts… god I remember that was such a big deal for some reason. It was right at that time of the internet becoming how things are done and people clinging to the old ways because “this is how we’ve always done it.” Such a dumb requirement.

About 10 years ago my wife and I were cleaning out the storage room and I found 2 sealed copies that I never used, again, because it was a good idea to get 3-5 sealed copies when you were requesting them for… reasons. Threw those things away. What a weird time and requirement.

I'm honestly not sure what a high school transcript is. Your grades in an envelope? Your diploma?

Courses you've taken, grades, credits, academic honors, sometimes ACT or SAT scores.... Basically **** that doesn't matter two seconds after you get accepted into a college.

I hung onto mine for a long time, but yes that was around the mid 2000s for me too so that tracks.

I do have a copy of my high-school record, but only because I requested it from my school to serve as extra proof of my birth and presence in the US for my passport application because there was a typo on my birth certificate (I think it was introduced from when Ohio scanned their paper records). I was vexed to discover that there was, in fact, no box or location on the form for bad behavior, talking back, or general shenanigans, so all that talk about how This Will Go On Your Permanent Record was a lie.
