He's from the riverlands, and bastards cant own titles.I would need to hear a very good, detailed argument to change my mind of him not being worthy.

How about they let him walk up the steps to the HoF and leave it up to him to fail to figure out how to open the door?

Is top 3 the line though really...? Yzerman wasn't a top 2 center because of 99 and 66...almost inarguably, Rivers went against 3 of the top 10 or 12 QBs in history his whole career...and that's not including where ever Aaron Rodgers is ascending to...I was thinking about his HOF case17 seasons, 5-7 playoff record with no AFC Championship appearances since 2007. It’s not all on him and his statistics will put him in the Hall, but the dude is most definitely not a finisher.
He shouldn’t get in. His numbers look good but everyone’s numbers in this era are inflated. Was he ever a top 3 QB? That combined with no Super Bowls lead me to no, he shouldn’t be in
We’ll see I guess
Not saying he's a lock or not...just saying, as a small room guy, your room might be smaller...

my point is: if he never made a super bowl and was never a top guy at his position, what’s the use of having him in? Never even made a first or second team all-proIs top 3 the line though really...? He has more pro bowls than I thought (8) but I don’t think that’d enough
Also I’m curious, what do you guys think about Eli? I think he’s a yes. 2 Super Bowl MVPs is enough imo

Also Rivers has a reputation as a choker, fair or not, and he’s never done anything to “overcome” that
The ending of the game yesterday was as predictable as ever
what is Rivers signature win? Seriously, does he have a single game you think of when you think of his HoF candidacy?
Only games I think of are both involving the Broncos. First is the Hochuli game (where Ed made a bad call and the Broncos won) and in 2012 when the Broncos came back from 24 down at half in the regular season. Again, both games Rivers lost

I hate both of these teams this year, but **** the Ravens. They don't belong here. Go Not-Ravens!
The Tannehill resurgence is a fun story, too. Dude is dumb as a box of rocks but is making it work. Real American hero.

When Rivers throws, he looks like a high school JV punter wearing the shoulder pads of a 1970s NFL LB. Like he doesn't have the physical ability to raise his arm above his shoulders. If he was 6'1", he might not have stuck in the league as a starter...He has a funky throwing motion too. So weird.
Last time I threw the football around, I stole his throwing mechanics...it was similar to how I throw a baseball with my wrong hand. I can do it, but it's like a shoulder-led slingshot. I can tell you, at 5'9", the only time I wouldn't get that throw knocked down is if I threw into one of my o-linemen's asses...it comes out so low, so often...

Playoff Jackson has arrived. What a pick.

ESPN needed to give their rules expert some air time. Great no call on the field.Complaining about Brown pushing off there without acknowledging he was being held for 5 yards leading up to that throw is kind of missing the point.
Good non-call both ways imo. It's the playoffs.

Gets juicier:
Had the Houston Texans stayed the course and followed the recommendation of the search firm Korn Ferry, they likely would have hired Pittsburgh Steelers vice president of football and business administration Omar Khan as their next general manager, league sources told ESPN.
Khan and ESPN Monday Night Football analyst Louis Riddick, who are both minority candidates, were the two finalists before Texans owner Cal McNair changed his mind, ignored the recommendation of the search firm he paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to do weeks of work and hired former New England Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio, sources said.
Multiple people in the Texans organization, including quarterback Deshaun Watson, were upset with how Houston's search took a sudden and unexpected turn, hiring a man that Korn Ferry did not include on its list of candidates.

That's... something else. Why bother with the firm then?

Gotta have spies on Lamar. Have him bottled up so well in the first half and then let that happen.

This is the only game this weekend where I don’t think either team can win the super bowl
