He requested a trade and the Steelers allowed them to talk to his agent to work on a new deal...

Do not listen to any NFL player who haven’t got paid yet! They will do and say anything to make sure they going to get paid even if it’s compromising integrity or anything ! sad but true

Albert Breer
@AlbertBreer
Owners voted through making DPI and OPI subject to coaches challenge, both calls and non-calls, with the replay assistant able to take part in the last 2 minutes.
Thoughts? I know we had this discussion a few months ago.

All about the gambling. They had a good discussion about it on the Dan Patrick show today.

I'm okay with it. If they reviewed them without challenges it would make games 5 hours. This is an okay compromise. I am worried we might head down another path where the "catch" went. I mean technically any contact is interference if the ball is in the air, so what's the replay threshold going to be?

More review is generally bad. It will probably salvage the things like the NFC Championship Game goofery, but that's fool's gold in my eyes...last thing the game needs is more slow-motioned, stop time.

I would consider trading my stance on more review for a 30-second play clock...

I mean you only get two challenges anyway. It's really going to only ever add time in the last couple minutes once in a while. My concern isn't with stoppage time, it's that the rule will be interpreted by the book exactly

Another question re: the 4th and 15 replacing the onside kick.

If the defense takes a penalty that normally results in a first down, is it still treated the same way? I'd hate to see a 5 yard illegal touching or holding call result in a team retaining possession. I'd like to see them just give you the yardage and replay "4th down"

I thought the 4th-and-15 thing was supposed to replace kickoffs altogether.

Not a fan of reviewable penalties.
