I’m curious what Brady’s stats would look like if Belichick wasn’t historically dreadful at drafting offensive skill position players outside of TEs

Yeah, seriously. We're just having a goof.
But for a more serious all time discussion, which is being defended in an uncomfortable manner already...Brady won a large number of his championships when he wasn't a very good quarterback. The narrative now is that he was always this quick release, intelligent QB with a lot of zip on short and medium range passes...but that's not what happened. His first few years in the league consisted of good, but nothing special quarterbacking. As time went on he improved immensely and after 4 or 5 years grew into an elite QB and then became an all time QB...but he won a lot less in the 10 years of him being great compared to four years that he was maybe Eli Manning level...
Using the power of retrospect to put this whole career in a box, it reads well: one of the greatest QBs ever wins infinite championships. But there's a nuance to it that ought to be required acknowledgment...
Having that discussion seems to put some very binary fans in a very uncomfortable position of having to discuss all of the possibilities between 0 and 1...

Me? I was just shooting the breeze, bored mostly. I had nothing but time today so just felt like looking at Bradys stuff lol.
The only thing I challenge is that he needed time to develop, he was “good” out of the box and has really only gotten better.
Had he started with say; the Lions? He’s probably a blip on the radar, maybe not even that. That’s where I do think he needed Bill as much as anyone.
I do think Billicheat is too smart for his own good, waiting until practically Moss to get him elite talent. But I guess it doesn’t really matter considering wins.

Yup. I put it on with about 20 minutes left and the Ravens have just moved down the field at will.
Doesn't help that Wentz is a loser, either.

I was rooting for the Colts until Doyle flopped near the end of regulation to draw an auto first down
