This Bears defense is no joke.

That said, Chicago isn't going anywhere with Trubisky. He is woefully inaccurate.

This has been one of the craziest NFL game days I can remember in recent years.

I know it's easier said than done, but Chicago just put on a damn clinic last night showing how to shut down the Rams offense. That was a thing of beauty. Goff looked terrified for most of the game, and can't say I can blame him.

Also, Sean McVay had his most questionable game of the season. 11 rushes for Todd Gurley vs. 43 passes with a quarterback that was struggling and getting the sht kicked out of him. That is inexplicable.

Yeah, the smudgeness of NE to put Gronk out there makes it 100x better.

The only remotely believable explanation for having Gronk out there is Belicheat thought they were going to do a bomb+hook-and-ladder. Miami was a hockey rink away, no one was throwing it to the end zone.

Their best defensive player was on the bench.

They they’ll never get to the Superb Owl with a guy that just chucks it and prays. Not like that has ever happened in the nfl let alone to that team before right...

When you have a stud QB that can extend plays, I'm all in favor of letting them freelance.

But that last play by Russell Wilson was a Sanchez-esque howler.

Adventures in officiating continues as the refs completely botch the leverage foul on Bobby Wagner's kick block and that would have swung the yardage to give the Vikings a chance in a 6-0 game. But I'm fine with it because that means the Bears are that much closer to winning the division and cashing my ticket.

Russell Wilson, 10/20 for 72 yards and an interception. Dude is not good.

What's worse is the initial instinct was right. The flag was thrown, but after conferring they decided he didn't clearly put his hands on the shoulders of his teammates.

There are only four or five QBs in the League I'd take instead of him.

Hmm.. QBs better than Wilson:

Brady
Brees
Luck
Ben
Mahomes
Rodgers

I'd say he is in a tier of Goff, Wentz, Watson, Rivers, Prescott, maybe Carr. I don't have much of an argument over any of those being clearly better than the rest, Rivers is close I suppose

His interception last night was horrific. Good thing for him he still has such a solid defense.

Shaquill Griffin... would kill for the Steelers to have a CB like him in the mix over Sensabaugh/Burns. And he was a 3rd round pick last year.

This is going to sound like I'm being fussy, but when I say "QBs I'd take instead of him", I mean in an actual here-you-go-this-is-your-new-QB kind of scenario. Not merely QBs I think are better than him. As such, I'd take Brady, Brees, Ben, and Rodgers (and Rivers) out of the reckoning. (Dak Prescott does not merit inclusion in a top ten context imo.)

Looking at that list, the only ones I'd for sure take over Wilson are Luck, Mahomes, and Wentz. Goff, Watson, and Carr would require a think; I could see where all or none of them make the cut. The book is still out on Jimmy G, but I consider him more-likely-than-not to join that first group.

I think it speaks more to the general state of quarterbacking in this league. We have a league that has basically legislated defense out of the game, which makes performances like what Chicago did the other night all the more impressive. The problem is, most quarterbacks in this league are not good enough to sustain a passing offense.

It's a team sport. If theres only one playmaker on the field, it's a little weird to say that person sucks and can't get it done.

The Eagles may be shutting down Wentz for the rest of the season due to back pain. The theory is that it may be caused by recurring lack of stabilization with his legs from his ACL/LCL.

I've already seen at least two Eagles fans label him "RG3 2.0" :pop:
