it seems like both Purdy and Lance should be ready for the season. Though Shanahan “named” Purdy the next season’s starter already
I’m guessing it’ll be an old fashioned QB competition but with how Purdy ran that offense, if I’m a Niner fan I’m rooting for him

Nothing is really in chaos, they're the furthest away from having another game as they could be haha
I think this takes a lot of film work to figure out and then good projection ability, plus monitored summer progress...

I think because you have Lance, and because you thought he was the next franchise QB at this point a year ago, you don't feel like you have to rush Purdy back. If I remember right, full recovery from TJ is usually a year down the road. Sure, you can be throwing in 6 months but it doesn't feel like you're yourself for some time after that. So you know you've got an King in Purdy already, let Lance take the early burden off of him and find out if he's got something of value to another team out there.
Seems like a decent problem to have.

Yeah I didn't think the TJ was confirmed yet. He was getting a 2nd opinion, but I think the 49ers wanted him to get surgery (not sure what exactly).

TJ requires taking ligaments from the knee for the reconstruction. For baseball pitchers it's a problem, but not as much as it would be for a QB I imagine.

Did BB have TJ surgery? I know he had surgery, just thought it was less than the full TJ route. Or maybe that's what the slug is for?

If you asked big Ben, he would tell you he needed a special shoulder surgery to prevent gangrene from spreading to his entire body

And they suggested removing the arm altogether but he took the chanceIf you asked big Ben, he would tell you he needed a special shoulder surgery to prevent gangrene from spreading to his entire body

Shut up you don’t have any friendsMy ortho pals tell me there's surgery to repair (6 month timeframe) and then when the ligament is totally blown up off the bone and needs reconstructed it's TJ and the year + recovery

KSP has bulletin board material nowWow. Carr who got benched and Huntley who had 2 passing TD's. The AFC quarterback room looks as bad as the 9ers.
I mean, how did they decide between Mac Jones, Huntley, and KSP?

PFF wasn't consulted.
