I’m going by data. Atlanta contributed over a third of the ratings. If you’re going to argue at least use facts from the observable data.
The Pittsburgh and Buffalo markets had higher ratings for that Super Bowl. Atlanta was 3rd, not 1/3.

Welp.

Pray for me, everyone.
I’m with you.
It'll be Phillies '09 WS x 1,000.

My bargain with the devil. Eagles win the SB, and Pens 3-peat. Deal?

Imagine hosting the Super Bowl there and knowing what could have been. Super shitty for Vikes fans.

I'm not sure hosting a SB is a big deal in regards to playing at home. It's not like it would be filled with all vikes fans. Most of the SB crowd is Rich people and corporate types. I'm sure tickets are split between the two teams somewhat evenly.

You're using the term 'rating' incorrectly. In this context, rating is an aggregated number of all DMAs in the country. There is not "1/3 of the ratings" coming from one DMA. Viewers? Maybe. But the terms mean different things.

Second, the average audience of SB LI was 111 million. Is it your assertion that there were 35 million people in Atlanta watching that game?

He's talking about this years CFB title game, not the Super Bowl

I’d this going to be one of things, where people predict the lowest ratings ever?

No. It’s two massive media markets. The CFP basically had the entire city of Atlanta turn in for the game to save the ratings.
Lol "save" the second highest program in espn history

Yes, like it being the second highest rated show in espn history. Every champ game draws big numbers in its home markets as you acknowledged when you pointed out the value of big markets like Philly and all of New England likely drawing well (or the PGH rating when the pens and Steelers make their respective championships). It's that you're trying to paint this picture that no one else watched the game and it needed "saving" and cant let it go that you got that one hilariously wrong (similarly I can't let it go pointing it out)
No people watched the game, just not outside the south.

Consider the nonstop news coverage and traffic that would make it impossible to ignore.

So, Nick Foles leads the Eagles to the SB berth (win) knowing the gig isn't his going forward.

Saw a story before the game of a lot of police backup having to be called to Lot M at the Linc because Eagles fans were attacking the officers and their horses. I hate this fan base.

Hmm...this day could not have unfolded any worse really...

So in my head I have to weigh whether I want a Philadelphia sports team to win a championship or the disgusting New England Patriots to win another. The early returns are that the 400th title for the Pats doesn't move the needle more than getting Philly off the ground from 0 to 1...

So I guess I want the Pats to win...yargh...what a horrific scenario...

If I got that Biff Tannen sports stats book at the start of this season and told you one of the final four QBs in the NFL would post a 140+ passer rating on the conference championship game, and that your four choices to guess were Brady, Foles, Keenum, and Bortles........
