Yeah...a lot of this. We'll see - but I think that knee injury absolutely wrecked him, physically and mentally.
He went from a fast, aggressive tackler that played sideline to sideline to a not-as-fast, timid tackler that stayed in the box until the OG arrived to get in his way. I think most of that was mental, honestly, with a little physical sprinkled in.

Really pulling for you, Franchise. That division could use another useful team to keep the Eagles/Cowboys from an easy path to the playoffs.

If this happens on a day of the first round of the NCAA tournament AND St. Patricks Day I may never sober up.

He won't. Post-injury Bush is probably the worst ILB I've ever seen. Averse to contact. Can't (or won't) shed blocks. Big on getting assisted tackles by laying a hand on an already wrapped up runner that blew right past him.If Bush displays signs of organic life, such as motion and metabolism, he's better than Cody Barton.

It was important that he was first. That's all that matters.

Ben Roethlisberger donning something other than the black-and-gold was almost a possibility during the 2022 NFL season.
During a recent interview with Mark Madden on 105.9 The X, Roethlisberger told Madden the San Francisco 49ers contacted him and held discussions about playing for the scarlet-and-gold.
According to the Steelers legend, he believes they were just gauging his interest. He went on to say he thought about the possibility of playing again, but ultimately decided to stay retired.
Roethlisberger added that he enjoys waking up each day without issues with his knees, elbows and shoulders.
The 49ers quarterback woes were well-documented as 7th-round pick Brock Purdy led the 49ers to the NFC Championship game, only to get injured and be replaced by Josh Johnson. They lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in their route to the Super Bowl.

Drama Ben, to the end.

I don't believe him but I'm glad it didn't happen either way.@skullman80

I don't have a hard time believing it, I'm sure wouldn't be surprised if every out of work/recently retired QB with any measure of NFL experience was contacted, even if it was purely exploratory and perfunctory (which is what that sounds like). There weren't a whole lot of such QBs with Superb Owl resumes out there, regardless of the condition of their [insert decrepit body part], that you could conceivably drop into a SB-ready roster.
